Thursday, July 17, 2008. Kierkegaard on being interested in too many things. The misfortune of my life is perhaps that I am interested in far too many things and not decidedly in some one thing; my interests are not all subordinated to one thing but are all co-ordinated. Tuesday, January 25, 2005. I'm about to go to bed, and I thought I'd blog first. I am in such a peaceful mood. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's great, I'm never like this. It seemed to start as I was driving home from Corpus in the moonlight listening to the last half of the Hours soundtrack (by Phillip Glass). It was beautiful, and I felt good, and healthy, and un-stressed out. While I'm waiting for the internet to connect, I may as well write more. Posted by Stejahen at 9:30 PM. Saturday, January 08...

C S Lewis Foundation Blog. Philip Pullman’s The Golden Compass – what is the appropriate response? Last week, we sent out an e-mail about the film version of Philip Pullman’s. It included a link to Alan Jacob’s interview with Ken Myers about the novels. Upon which the film is based. We also included the summary of the interview from the Mars Hill Audio website. We found Professor Jacob’s response to be fair and balanced in its view of the quality, purpose, and style of Pullman’s. We invite you to tell us!

Tuesday, May 20, 2008. AW Tozer on good books. The best book is not one that informs merely, but one that stirs the reader up to inform himself. The best writer is one who goes through the world of ideas like a friendly guide who walks beside us through the forest pointing out to us a hundred natural wonders that we had not noticed before.
