Blooming Poppy: A canvas for Lottie...
http://bloomingpoppy.blogspot.com/2011/06/canvas-for-lottie.html
Friday, June 24, 2011. A canvas for Lottie. I'm seriously thinking I should close this poor lil neglected blog.I hardly find the time to create much of anything at the moment. Slack? All of the above. I definately feel the need to be creative.I need to be working on something.but it just seems I have less and less energy to tackle anything much at the moment! I did make this lil canvas for my friend's new baby girl - Lottie.LOVE her name! I like it myself though and will probably do one for Lola's room!

Ive been scrapping again! I was very lucky to have a pyjama day yesterday and get this baby finished off. You know when youve got something sitting there waiting to be finished and you know its there and you want to get the time to complete it, but it just seems to keep slipping away? Well thats where I was at. But yesterday I had no excuses, I was in my PJs all day thanks to a big Saturday night and Josh had gone to work, it was just me and a free afternoon! Heres some detail shots. I got asked to guest...

http://bloomingpoppy.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. So I did.I made this lil mixed media frame forJulie Heard.she's rounded up a pile of scrapper/arty people to make inspirational canvases and frames to be auctioned off for a cancer charity! I was flattered to be asked! So here is my attempt with my favourite Mandela quote! Lots of vintage papers, doilies and buttons. Sunday, April 24, 2011. We carried out our usual tradition of making our Easter baskets to use on Easter morning for the egg hunt! The reason why we love these hand...

Blooming Poppy: May 2011
http://bloomingpoppy.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 21, 2011. I have seen LOTS of scrappers playing with canvas art and mixed media lately, so I thought I'd have a crack. I will eventually sign up for the full SHE ART tutorial but for now I just had a look at Kristy's blog and watched the free tutorials. I first had a play on simple shipping cards, above! Then played with a background for a canvas for Poppy's room! And finished it like this! It was loads of messy fun and didn't take much time at all! Sunday, May 8, 2011. I was spoilt. I ...

Pieces of Me: Ink smooshing
http://jaimier.blogspot.com/2015/06/ink-smooshing.html
Sunday, June 7, 2015. So over this long weekend I wanted to try a new technique called 'ink smooshing'. I believe Laura Bassen (you can find this talented lady on You Tube) coined the phrase. It is a gorgeous way to add watercolour (or in my case, watered down distress ink) to a card, whilst maintaining some control. I hope you like my first attempt! I cant wait to give it a go myself! Pieces of Me: June 2015
http://jaimier.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 7, 2015. My lovely Hubby organised a day out on Sydney Harbour at Fort Dennison with his Parents for Mothers Day. I wanted to commemorate the day with a mini album for my Mother in Law. I used Ginger Ropp's 'waterfall folio' idea and came up with a larger version to accomodate 6x4 photos. This is what I created. Thickers. I can never seem to get enough of them! But I have found that over time the packaging rips and the letters end up everywhere! I was thrilled to find these! Just so you know...

My good friend Renae said she couldn't wait to see what I did with my new 'Juice Box' ink from Lawn Fawn, so I just had to unwrap the little beauty and make something with it. This is using a stamp from Stampin Up! If you haven't hard of the MISTI you can check it out at www.mysweetpetunia.com but be warned, you will want one! OMG I love it! July 17, 2015 at 5:57 AM. That is just gorgeous and I love, love that colour! July 17, 2015 at 8:51 PM.
