http://knitting4shirley.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Jan 31, 2013. Wrapping up 2012 Knits (and crochets). It's the end of the first month of the year and I'm still not through posting stuff I made in December. I cannot drag this out any longer. I'm gonna wrap it up today. By Nicky Hale knit up in Tahki Cotton Classic. It was such a learning experience and it really ought to have it's own post but I'll try to keep this short and sweet. Now he tells me that his friend loves the hat. The color is great! Jan 30, 2013.

From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. May 28, 2013. Ten on Tuesday - 10 Things You Did This Weekend. It's been such a nice long weekend. I did not hang curtains or tackle any of the other projects around the house. Here is what I did do. Softball - Lots. Spring and summer in our house means softball weekends. Don't ask how our team did. It wasn't pretty. Went to a fair - after hearing about Viva Vienna from friends for years we decided to go. Fun! Got my car serviced - ouch! Labels: Ten on Tuesday.

Knitting4Shirley: Ten on Tuesday - The Ten Last Books You Have Read.
http://knitting4shirley.blogspot.com/2014/03/ten-on-tuesday-ten-last-books-you-have.html
From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Mar 25, 2014. Ten on Tuesday - The Ten Last Books You Have Read. I've had a lot more time to read lately. Much of it is devoted to satisfying the demands of Miss M who loves a good story. This one is her current favorite. She brings it with her to preschool regularly so that she can share it with her friends. It's got a surprise ending that has the kids in stitches every time. The Fault in Our Stars. By Michael Connelly - I love Michael Connelly. I've hear...

Knitting4Shirley: March 2013
http://knitting4shirley.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Mar 28, 2013. This was Miss M last year at Passover. Here she is this year. She is wise to the matzah. She is counting the minutes until the holiday ends. No, wait, that's me! Notes from this year's Seder:. The yummy Carrots with Almonds that nobody got to eat because I forgot them in the microwave. I didn't remember that they were there until 24 hours later. Brisket is good. It also cleans up well and re-heats well. Win! Mar 19, 2013. The way things have been...

Knitting4Shirley: February 2013

From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Feb 26, 2013. Ten on Tuesday - 10 Reasons Why You Are Ready for Winter To Be OVER. The ToT topic this week makes me laugh because it's really not me. I know a few people who are really ready for Winter to be over even before it starts (and they know who they are) but I'm not one of them. Truthfully, I'd really like one more good snow. Please don't hate me for saying that. I'm sooooo not a fan of Winter coats. All the salt from the roads looks nasty on my dar.

Knitting4Shirley: First Things First
http://knitting4shirley.blogspot.com/2014/03/first-things-first.html
From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Mar 12, 2014. It should come as no surprise that today, the day after I told you all about our little sock photo shoot, I'm sharing a pair of recently completed socks. As with so many things, now that I'm finished with these socks I find myself wondering what took me so long. I really love them. The pattern in the front and in the back are lovely. There's another reason why I wish that I'd finished these a year ago and not put them in time out. My tension ...

Knitting4Shirley: Ten on Tuesday - 10 Thoughts On This Year's Oscar Show
http://knitting4shirley.blogspot.com/2014/03/ten-on-tuesday-10-thoughts-on-this.html
From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Mar 4, 2014. Ten on Tuesday - 10 Thoughts On This Year's Oscar Show. Do you love movies? Having seen all of the nominated shows (and then some) made watching the Oscars this year even more fun. Possessing a semi-informed opinion, rather than I like actor X and hope he wins, is nice for a change. Overall I felt that most of the movies were pretty good. Philomena. Was probably my favorite followed closely by Dallas Buyers Club. If most people tune out or fall as...

Knitting4Shirley: January 2014
http://knitting4shirley.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
From a quaint tribute to a raging obsession. Jan 29, 2014. A little over a week ago I finally finished a baby gift that I started in 2012. Fortunately I know myself pretty well and I chose to make a size 2-3 so it out to fit my cousin's now 2 year old son just fine. I really hope so because I love this sweater. It's a Sirdar pattern that I've loved since the first time I saw it. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. I'm so proud that it lays flat and doesn't pucker. Last but not least there i...
