Liz in Edinburgh: Forest Cafe & pictures of a snowy Edinburgh
http://lizinedinburgh.blogspot.com/2009/02/forest-cafe.html
Forest Cafe and pictures of a snowy Edinburgh. Sunday evening I saw In Bruges. Link to the trailer) with Sarah at the theater in Pleasance. The University Film Society was screening it. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and would absolutely recommend it (just keep in mind that there are five or six very bloody parts in addition to foul language every few minutes). I should see more dark comedies. Sunday night was the Scotland vs. Wales rugby game (part of 6 Nations. The texture of the rocks surrounding the c...

Liz in Edinburgh: Princes Street
http://lizinedinburgh.blogspot.com/2009/02/princes-street.html
Wednesday I walked over to Princes Street with Emily to do a bit of shopping (I bought a somewhat trendy shirt/dress thing from Topshop. Then we found Marks and Spencer. I should explore Princes Street a bit more and I haven't been to the West End at all yet (the Western side of Princes Street), which is where the Dean Gallery and the Scottish National Museum of Modern Art are. February 9, 2009 at 4:55 AM. Save some exploring for when I visit! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Liz in Edinburgh: January 2009
http://lizinedinburgh.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Dia de Arte con Emily! Today I visited the Royal Scottish Academy. To see the JMW Turner exhibit, which was beautiful. The pencil sketches and blue/grey washes were my favorite. Then, after wandering around Calton Hill and seeing the sites below, we went to the Ingleby Gallery. To see fifteen amazing Ellsworth Kelly prints of leaves and fruit. I definitely recommend visiting the gallery website so you can view the entire collection of prints. We also happened upon the Luca Frei. Daft Punk ( Alive 2007.

Liz in Edinburgh: March 2009
http://lizinedinburgh.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Back to the present. Also, I’m sick for the first time since I’ve been here. I think a combination of the dirty air in Dublin, traveling by plane twice within four days, and sleeping on the floor for a week pushed me over the edge. However, this allows me to stay home, work on planning my Div III, and drink lots of tea. 4 March – 13 March). This is an extremely long entry, but it’s full of great memories and pictures, so don’t give up on it! Friday we bought tickets for the Hop On, Hop Off. The Irish Mus...

4 March – 13 March). This is an extremely long entry, but it’s full of great memories and pictures, so don’t give up on it! For the summer. My experience in Edinburgh would have been much different without Skype. Thursday Mom and I walked around the Royal Mile, visited the Edinburgh Castle, walked up Calton Hill, and then I had class in the evening. How great is it that I can have guests over, travel, do my work, and still fit in my few hours of class each week? More of the process. Park next to St Patri...

http://lizinedinburgh.blogspot.com/2009/03/very-special-visitorhighland.html
A Very Special Visitor/Highland Tour/Arthur’s Seat. 12 February – 17 February). My boyfriend visited me in Edinburgh! We ate so much food, took hundreds of pictures, and spent nearly after minute of every day together, all of which were much needed after being apart for two months. Here is a little bit of text and some pictures that probably show how happy I was better than I can express in writing! Saturday we woke up early for the 9:30am Rabbie’s West H. Ighland Lochs and Castles Day Tour. Jesus’...
