The exception came with "A Million Miles in a Thousand Years" by. Donald Miller. I started reading it on a flight home from Denver, got about halfway through it, and went out the next day and bought three copies - one for myself and two that I plan to give to friends. As a mom I know how hard it is to take time for myself, but it is so important to do something that revives you before you can give 100% to your kids, your spouse, your friends, your job, etc. As the holidays arrive, we have to reflect on the past year and think about what we have accomplished.
