Archive for April, 2011. April 25, 2011. Writing this on borrowed time as my recently returned computer is once again behaving badly. Facing the reality of another month without a computer is not sunshine on a cloudy day, but I have been pretty active without the computer, and luckily for you, I have been writing quite a bit in my journal. Happy Monday ya’ll. My favorite part about the whole trip was that every path we walked was prettier than the one before, and every twenty minutes we were stopping to ...

Laquo; Washington Monument. So I moved out of the house and found a job in the city. I am amazed by the fact that not too long ago, I went from a small Spanish town in the middle of nowhere to working a few blocks away the White House. I took the following picture while walking around after work. Won’t you come visit? A mis amigos españoles, os quiero a todos y os echo un montón de menos. Que ganas tengo de tomar algo con vosotros aquí en Washington o por allí donde sea. Un abrazo. From your own site.

Archive for May, 2011. May 26, 2011. There are catchy tunes, there are summer hit, there are classics jams, and then there are songs that transport you back to a specific moment and stop you in your tracks. The type of song that brings memories flooding back in as little as one chord and you can relive the experience. I have several, but one stands out more than any other. So you lost your trust. But don’t break your back. All I have all the freedom in the world and I just want to go home. May 19, 2011.

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Main plaza in Pamplona. Pamplona is home to the original tortilla (Spanish Omelette). One of Hemingway's many cafe's that he visited. A store for the street performers and hippies alike. The shell welcomes pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Large church at the top of the hill. Beautifully colored buildings throughout the city. Happy to see the trees changing colors in Spain. If you get lost easily, Pamplona will have you going in circles. Links to this post.

I couldn't believe it when they called me directly to the doctors office after I had spoken with the nurse. What did I do right? Then I realized, the only difference from my first visit and my second visit was that I was actually seriously injured. Sure, go ahead, just try not to walk too much, but that should b...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. My bag of tricks. The life of a traveling teacher is, well, tough. Have you ever entertained a child without toys? How about in a foreign language? If you find yourself in my shoes, here are a few tricks that might assist you in your seemingly impossible task. Best of luck to you all! Café solo - black coffee. Sunday, Januar...
