S musings on "Life, the Universe, and Everything". Reading this blog may be a penance, but the only indulgence you'll get is chocolate. Monday, April 25, 2011. A little bit of nothing. It has been a long time since I've created a blog entry. I thought I would start by creating an entry using Dragonspeak. I am dictating this entry. I thought I would write something to fill the Void. Laura's Place
http://lauralowder.blogspot.com/2008/12/in-combox-below-phyllis-alludes-to.html
Monday, December 15, 2008. In the combox, below, Phyllis alludes to an email I shared with several folks from Chorale. I sent an email to composer David Conte, whose "A Stable-Lamp is Lighted" was one of our Joy of the Season selections. The piece is a setting to a poem by Richard Wilbur (b. 1921). I think you'll see why I had trouble getting through this one without tears and choking-up. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master rebuke thy disciples. A stall become a shrine.

Practicing God's Presence: November 2008
http://tempusadestfloridum.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
His Love Never Ends. Sunday, 30 November 2008. It is a perfect Sunday for sitting around doing very little. It is cold and raining on and off outside. My essay is finished bar one final proof-read tomorrow and so I cam do what I like. . . I was having a look around the Internet when I discovered this book meme on Confessions of a Prodigal Daughter. And as she did say that anyone could do it, and I love reading, I decided to take part. . So here is my contribution:. I wee bit of self gratuitous narcicism.

Laura's Place: How come...
http://lauralowder.blogspot.com/2008/12/how-come.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. I can't find any blogs about Catholic womanhood. I mean homekeeping, arts and crafts, being feminine, etc. Must feminine womanhood in all its diverse manifestations be the property of the Protestant evangelicals and fundamentalists? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thanks for stopping by - I'm an erratic and inconsistent blogger, but I hope it does some good to someone, somewhere. I hope it brings you a bit closer to Christ. I have to sit down. Who are you, Simcha Fisher? I am freelance writer and mother of nine. No, wait, a mother of nine, and. A freelance writer. Consequently, I may abruptly vanish from the combox to go make supper or something. So if you spot a post that’s offensive, illogical, indefensible, or just plain stupid, and you question it, and I don’t respond, it’s because I’m just, oh,. What kind of name is that, anyway? So then . . . you’re . . . Does your husband realize you’re saying these things about him?

True Confessions of a Prodigal Daughter: Welcome! I'm Glad You're Here!
http://catholicprodigaldaughter.blogspot.com/2009/06/welcome-im-glad-youre-here.html
Friday, June 12, 2009. I'm Glad You're Here! This post will be for new visitors (and old ones, if you'd like to add more information about yourself). During the past year that I've kept this blog, I've been deeply touched by my visitors. Many have introduced me to new ideas, websites, blogs, etc. that has helped me in my journey. Some have prayed for me and I really appreciate it. We all can use prayer! So introduce yourself if you'd like. What do you love about Catholicism? And Angela of Where Angels Go.

Laura's Place: August 2008
http://lauralowder.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2008. I'm in a debate on one of the boards I frequent with a woman who's very pro-choice and insists that she would abort if she became pregnant. She called the preborn child a parasite and compared it to a tapeworm. Needless to say, I disagreed with her. What might need to be said is that she and I are friends, so I feel a particular tenderness toward this woman, and a need to protect her from some of the other, even more passionate remarks, of some participants. Nope - the people M...
