http://michaelgauntandfrancescadixon.blogspot.com/2014/06/what-are-you-going-to-do-next-what-is.html

A Family in Eden. Family blog, the journey from mission workers in Nepal to laying down roots in the Eden Valley, Cumbria.believing God and His promises. Sunday, 8 June 2014. What are you going to do next? What is in Cumbria? Why on earth are you going there? What are you going to do? These are the 3 questions that we are answering a lot at the moment. Conversations are quite repetitive and we are getting used to it; a bit like 2 years ago as we struggled to answer 3 questions;. Where are you from? Mike ...

A Family in Eden. Family blog, the journey from mission workers in Nepal to laying down roots in the Eden Valley, Cumbria.believing God and His promises. Wednesday, 22 January 2014. Mike returned to the UK and we managed a whistle stop tour to Newcastle; managing to see ¾ of the girl’s God parents, paddle in the North Sea in the dark, have fish and chips, visit some awesome friends and encouragers and Fiona even rode a horse for the first time! It was great to catch up with friends at Karen and Jon&#8217...

A Family in Eden: Being thankful

http://michaelgauntandfrancescadixon.blogspot.com/2014/05/being-thankful.html

A Family in Eden. Family blog, the journey from mission workers in Nepal to laying down roots in the Eden Valley, Cumbria.believing God and His promises. Monday, 12 May 2014. We are coming to the end of our time in Nepal, and it is so easy to get caught up in all the emails, organisation, sales, finishing jobs and lists. I have been consciously writing down some of the important bits of our life here. The people, the places, the food, the views, smells, frustrations and blessings. A job that Fran has enq...

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Monday, November 02, 2009. We all has a fantastic time at my mum and dad's ruby wedding anniversary party on Saturday. It was great to catch up with so many extended family and friends of old and share in such a wonderful happy celebration. And it was great for McGrew, Cuthbert and Dibble to meet many of their family for the first time. And for family to meet them. Highlights had to be:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Picture Wi...

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Friday, October 09, 2009. How to be miserable. Thanks to Antonia for finding this. Tuesday, October 06, 2009. Sunday, October 04, 2009. A momentous day today for McGrew. He rode his bike without his stabilisers (or sterilisers as he insists on calling them! And so it was today, with me running along behind McGrew, holding his seat, and then when he was on course, I let go and watched with pride as he kept going.

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Saturday, May 15, 2010. Mrs DHG, that is. Her head teacher turned up on our doorstep at 9.40 yesterday evening to deliver the dreaded brown envelope. Redundant from the end of August. The words are ringing round our heads at the moment. What does it mean? Is there a chance of a reprieve? Where is God in it all? I'm sure God has a plan - and most likely (definitely? Wednesday, May 05, 2010. A week in the North York Moors.

Reflections of a River Engineer: April 2009

http://doonhamergeordie.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Thursday, April 16, 2009. An epic day today. McGrew, Cuthbert and Dibble got a new name. They're now legally Masters 'DHG'. The day didn't go without its hitches, mind you! We didn't get stuck in traffic. None of us was ill. We didn't get lost. We didn't break down. We didn't get the wrong day. But the boys' social worker did! Yes, as incomprehensible as it may seem, she put the wrong date in her diary. With a new name. Some ...

http://doonhamergeordie.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Monday, April 05, 2010. Three yesterday. and apparently off to Africa on Sunday as Tearfund's youngest volunteer! That probably needs some explanation. Last week, Dibble joined some of his friends in a 24 hour swimathon to raise money for one of Tearfund's clean water projects. But he managed to raise over £300 for the project - well done Dibble! Yes, daddy. I go to Africa". You're going to Africa? No, I going with doglet".

http://doonhamergeordie.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Saturday, June 05, 2010. We all had a lovely few days earlier this week in south-west Scotland at my parents' caravan in Kippford. The boys had great fun playing in the sea, building dams on the beach, exploring, finding sticks, and generally messing about and being boys! The time away was all the better for Mrs DHG finding out the day before we went away that she was no longer being made redundant! Here are a few photos:.

http://doonhamergeordie.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Reflections of a River Engineer. Notes, thoughts and reflections from the road. Monday, August 31, 2009. We've had a great family day out at Alnwick Garden. The boys loved jumping around in the fountains and got thoroughly soaked to the skin! Lunch at the Treehouse was great, too - Cuthbert was enthralled with the magical fairy lights and the fact that the window next to him was pink! His last words before he fell asleep were:. Thank you mummy for today. It's been amazing! Wednesday, August 26, 2009.
