My ramblings about Ironman triathlon and life in general. Monday, December 22, 2008. Here are some holiday party pics . Good times! Here's the creek below my property after the ice storm. Narnia? Here's my boy Mac . Well the last two weeks have been winter hell! First we get an ice storm that knocks almost all of the power in the Northeast. 3 days without power is brutal. We spent some cold nights that once again made me rethink about living in a winter zone. Then this week we get 13 inches of snow.

My ramblings about Ironman triathlon and life in general. Friday, June 12, 2009. Me and Sam at Queechy Lake 2006. I can't believe that not only have I been slow w/ updates on my blog, but my next entry is another sad one. I write this with the heaviest of hearts. Yesterday I had to face the inevitable and have my dog-best friend Sam put to sleep. All dogs are special. Life without a dog , in my humblest opinion, is a life lacking. In Sam's case, we rescued him. He was my shadow, always by my side, waitin...

Swordfish Mike's Journals: January 2008

My ramblings about Ironman triathlon and life in general. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Keep it simple.Hold Back. You're over-thinking it.Feel the water. We've heard these phrases over and over . Training proverbs almost. They work. Rather obvious, but sometimes we get bombarded by whats new and groovy that we lose sight of the most important thing. JFT! I picked up running in 2000 , so I'm 8 yrs into this triathlon experiment. Yesterday, I had a break thru swim session. I don't know how it all clicked, ...

My ramblings about Ironman triathlon and life in general. Friday, January 23, 2009. Ok , so I've decided to once again do the Cape May Marathon this spring. . When I did it in 07 I swore it was the most ridiculous marathon ever because of the constant 20-30 mph gusts.but maybe this year will be different. So towards the end of todays 10 mile run I had the race already in my head. Pulling the Active trigger this weekend. TriBoomer a.k.a. Brian. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My ramblings about Ironman triathlon and life in general. Monday, January 19, 2009. I thought I'd use today to pay tribute to the great Dr. King and to our new leader President Barack Obama. There's nothing I can add to what's been already written and talked about. These are exciting and important times indeed. I only wish my family and myself could be there, in Washington , to be part of it all. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Races I've done and loved. Ironman USA Lake Placid 2006. 2 0 0 9 is goin.

My ramblings about Ironman triathlon and life in general. Friday, June 13, 2008. I'm getting really really good at multi-tasking.good enough to hire as an MT consultant, or better yet, President/CEO of Get Shit Done Inc. Besides getting all my work projects completed on time, I've picked up my training to almost Ironman levels and I'm not even doing one this season. Most of the drive comes from within. Molina is an inspiration. The dude does it for one reason.because he can! I never bring a chain tool.
