Happy endings just a fairy tale? May 29, 2009 at 6:25 pm ( Chris' Journal. I am not so sure my story will ever have a happy ending. If this week of lying on my back is any indication, I really don’t have much of a support system to speak of, my workload is huge, my parenting skills suck, and my income is bordering on negative. The Okey Dokey Chronicles. Creating an Urban Homestead. Pesto @ The Ranch. November 9, 2009. The Makings of a Fine Pesto. Ashley came by this past Sunday and we made a batch of pesto. Yummy. I started out by harvesting all five sweet basil plants from my garden, which was enough to yield about 10 cups of basil leaves. The recipe goes something like this:. 2 cups basil leaves, packed. 2 T fresh lemon juice. 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated. 1/2 c olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Filed in The Daily Yarn.
