Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Tuesdays have now become my official tip-sharing day on my photoblog! You know. "T", for tip and Tuesday. Clever, I'd say. :) I thought of trying to give it a cute name, but the only thing that came to mind at this hour was "Tipsy Tuesday", and that isn't going to do! So, I guess I'll settle for just "tip". Yeah, I know.unique and so exciting. :D. Well, onto the tip of the week, DE-FOGGING! Sharpening the details) ,. In effect giving it a more clean, vibrant look. We attended...

Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Tip: Star-shaped Sun Effect. Have you ever wondered how to get that star-shaped sun effect that you see in many pictures? Well, I stumbled across a DPS thread. Yesterday that shared this exact tip. So, I am passing this tip along to you! You can achieve this look directly in camera by simply changing the size of your aperture to its smallest. The above shot was taken yesterday during midday with an f-stop of 22. Now how simple was that? Posted by Jocelyn K. Posted by Jocelyn K.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Moving Toward Manual Settings. If you have not tried shooting in manual mode before, you are limiting yourself as a photographer (IMHO). I personally do not (yet! Shoot in manual mode on a regular basis. As of this writing, I've actually only shot in manual once since I got my D40 in July. My personal goal is to be comfortable shooting in all modes. I've started with program mode, then moved to aperature priority (where I'm at now - totally loving AP! I've read great tips from...

Sunday, June 19, 2011. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY YA OL' GRAMPA! Awwwwwww, what a softy! The kids are up early this morning, making Daddy some cards for Father's Day. They are hoping to surprise him when he gets off work. That's the hard part about the 3rd shifters' life - you miss a lot. But I will help them with the special breakfast cooking, and later we will be going to Gramma's house for cake. I thought about having an organic fruit basket delivery. We have a busy day ahead, and an even busier week!

Rebecca Bridges Photography: HUMMINGBIRD MOTH
http://digitalandphotoartforsale.blogspot.com/2011/08/hummingbird-moth.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2011. I like to sit outside early in the mornings and watch the sun come up. The other day, I was sipping my coffee when this little guy showed up to have a bite to eat. I believe he is what they call a hummingbird moth - huge for a moth for sure! He hovers over the flowers, and has a really long tongue thingy that he uses, like a beak, to get at the flower nectar. It was so neat to watch! On the market if I am going to spend the rest of my life sitting down! SO MUCH TO DO.

Wednesday, August 31, 2011. SO MUCH TO DO. My phone has been ringing off the hook lately. Everyone wants pictures taken. I have a photo shoot lined up for Saturday, and about 4 more I need to make time for. Not to mention I need to take pictures for my own little Grandbaby! She is three months old today, and we need to stuff her in my little baby dress and get some pictures. I just hope the dress will hold up - it's almost 40 years old, so it has seen better days. So sweet those girlies! SO MUCH TO DO.

Rebecca Bridges Photography: FISHING DERBY
http://digitalandphotoartforsale.blogspot.com/2011/07/fishing-derby.html
Saturday, July 16, 2011. Fireworks were not the only fun we had over the Fourth Of July Holiday this year! The kids took part in a fishing derby out at one of our favorite little lakes. Riley actually got quite a few bites, but neither one of them caught anything this time. It was a lot of fun watching them though - I remember fishing with my Daddy when I was a little girl - and it was the best. I hope my kids remember these times as well. I found a bunch of graduation stuff. Labels: Life And Pictures.
