Wednesday, April 30, 2008. That was the most exciting part of the day! I had the last quads of a class 3 scheduled, but when I had Lily try to call and confirm the appointment, the phone number was disconnected! I have never seen so much calculus build-up! Thursday, December 18, 2008. Calculus to go, please. What do you get when you combine a class III patient with a smoker and a huge bridge of calculus? I was pretty excited to remove some of my patient's calculus with these large pieces still intact. I put them on my tray to show him, and he was shocked to see what had been in his mouth. Thursday, October 30, 2008. I had the kind of appointment after which I just want to breathe a big sigh and be glad it's over! I actually didn't even scale, but I did a full OD with initial charting and took full-mouth x-rays- which is difficult with a patient who has an anterior open bite. We got to spend a lot of time with family over the holidays and then we celebrated Isaac's birthday a few weeks later. He is such a cute kid! The things he says are so funny! I cannot believe he is 10 this year. He is so smart too and informed me that he wants to be a doctor when he grows up! Another is a favorite movie of mine that I'd long forgotten. I found it easiest to turn the balloon with one hand and hold the string with the other so I could strip off the excess glue. Then I laid them out to dry on a cooling rack. I left them overnight. I made green pancakes for St. Patrick's Day. They were some of the best pancakes I've had in a while! Eu nao falo Portuguese :/. I love those eggs&#4...
