Friday, September 29, 2006. Word Nerds and Podcasts. In my school district, one of the new big initiatives amongst the language department is the use of podcasts in the classroom. There is actually discussion about purchasing ipods for student use in foreign language classes such as French, Spanish, German, and Latin. Friday, September 29, 2006. One topic that I have been thinking about creating a a quest for is Governmental History. This topic is so important for students' overall understanding of Roman History, and for the Regents' Exam. This topic can be boring when teachers present it, and I think kids might be more interested if they did a quest. There are also some excellent resources on the web for this topic. These are just a few thoughts - I think that I am leaning towards the History Quest.
