Scott and Tobi Sanders: June 2010
http://scottandtobi.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Scott and Tobi Sanders. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Walking along the paths by the bat caves. I just loved the look of the Mangrove groves. Lots of monkeys were around. Into the bat caves. We couldn't use a flash inside so couldn't take pictures but there were some spectacular rock formations and lots and lots of bats. These eagles would dip into the waterway and get fish to eat. More eagles just flying around. They would rest in the tops of the trees before flying out some more. Posted by Scott and Tobi.

Scott and Tobi Sanders: October 2010
http://scottandtobi.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Scott and Tobi Sanders. Sunday, October 10, 2010. Tobi went to spend a week with Candy in September just after her return from the hospital after surgery and had a great time talking to Candy and two other sisters, Tami and Vicki who were there during Tobi's stay. Candy, as we who know her have come to expect, was very upbeat and almost seemed like her old self, but with a tendency to get tired which is very uncommon to her. We have had 35 years of memories since then, and through them all, Candy and Cra...

Scott and Tobi Sanders: March 2011
http://scottandtobi.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Scott and Tobi Sanders. Friday, March 18, 2011. Jennie and Julia Visit Malaysia. For 12 great days in March, 2011, we had our daughters Jennie and Julia with us. This has been in planning for about 9 months and the anticipation just built as the time got closer. Our trip to Redang was over too quickly and on Saturday the 12th we returned to KL. On the taxi ride home from the airport I had a chance for about an hour to practice my fledgling Malay with the taxi driver. He was very patient with me. We got s...

Life From a Gospel Perspective: March 2013
http://lifefromagospelperspective.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Life From a Gospel Perspective. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Today is Easter. And I got asked to teach a lesson about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Spending the week before Easter studying that glorious event was a wonderful experience for me. I think one of the main reasons why is because I chose to focus on the power and peace of the Atonement that comes into our lives today as we come unto Christ and learn of him instead of the suffering and pain he experienced in his final days and hours. And it came to ...

Life From a Gospel Perspective: August 2013

Life From a Gospel Perspective. Saturday, August 24, 2013. Changing the World.for the young? Work has been particularly grueling and draining the past couple of weeks. I've had to remind myself on a number of occasions that I am working towards a good cause, one that I care about and want to see succeed. I have also been contemplating the fact that so many of the people I work with are incredibly young. Why is that? One reason for this is offered in the movie Amazing Grace:. And it just so happens that w...

Life From a Gospel Perspective: What do I have time for?
http://lifefromagospelperspective.blogspot.com/2013/12/what-do-i-have-time-for.html
Life From a Gospel Perspective. Saturday, December 7, 2013. What do I have time for? I just finished reading Room by Emma Donoghue. Through the whole book, I was impressed by the way and the things this mother teaches this son. And I couldn't help feeling like I could benefit from a lot of the wisdom shared. Towards the beginning Jack and his Ma have a great conversation:. My teeth feel a bit better if I stop thinking about them," she tells me. What if we all did that? Why do we do that? But, in some way...

Life From a Gospel Perspective: Try Again
http://lifefromagospelperspective.blogspot.com/2014/10/try-again.html
Life From a Gospel Perspective. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Things I didn't know at first I learned by doing twice". Finding nuggets of truth and wisdom is one of my favorite things. This one I really like, but feel I need to ponder some more. So, I'm going to process by writing. Like many people, I have a fear of failure. A fear of others thinking poorly of me. A fear of doing things wrong. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Art of Manliness. Podcast #229: How Men and Women Socialize Differently.

Life From a Gospel Perspective: September 2013
http://lifefromagospelperspective.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Life From a Gospel Perspective. Thursday, September 12, 2013. Perspective: All in How You Look at Things. Life is such an interesting thing, and so often seems to be full of contradictions. Reading The Glass Castle. By Jeannette Walls made me think some about this and why that is and how challenging it can be for children to comprehend. Or maybe how easy it is for adult to ignore or rationalize away. Take this passage, for example:. I hate Erma," I told Mom. 8220;Erma can’t let go of her misery,...
