This past Thursday, 16 students of the Waskom ISD Art Club came to SFA to tour the campus and experience a class at art school. The club sponsor, art teacher Angela Bradshaw, asked them to create rock and roll relief prints. A big thank you goes out to the printmaking students who assisted and to these future artists! Click on the pictures to view as larger images. Alumni Spotlight: Mathew Sutter, BFA. Mathew Sutter received his BFA in art with an emphasis in printmaking from SFA in Spring of 2014. His work combines high craft with symbolic content referencing cultural narratives related to ancient texts, binary code, and geometric designs. He is currently an MFA candidate in printmaking and Book Arts at The University for the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a projected graduation date in 2016.

Terri Goggans now lives and works in Nacogdoches, volunteering her time at Lanana Creek Press and working on art in her home studio. Below is her artist statement on this body of work and a few images from the installation. Came from a memory I have of playing in a clothesline full of white sheets that were blowing in the breeze.

Upon transferring from another college, Emily excelled in the printmaking program, graduating in Spring of 2013 with her BFA. Along the way, she was honored as the Dean's Circle Award winner for the school of Art.
