Michelle's Spell: September 2011
http://michellespells.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Cautionary Tales and Cocktail Hours. Friday, September 23, 2011. Today is the last day of All My Children. Which saddens me greatly. I remember watching All My Children. As a child with my great grandmother, my dad, and my sister on his lunch break. Sadly, I will never work at Pine Valley University or marry Jackson, live in Hell's Kitchen with Jessie and Angie, or get my hair done by Opal at the Glamorama. Goodbye to my only soap opera; you will remain in my happy memories! Sunday, September 18, 2011.

Erik's Choice: The West Indies/Caribbean
http://eriklerouge.blogspot.com/2010/06/west-indiescaribbean.html
Mobile Musings on Culture and the State of the World. Sunday, June 13, 2010. The West Indies/Caribbean region, a microcosm of global rivalry glimpsed through archaeological layers, modern diversity and cultural syncretism, supports a population that barely exceeds Canada's. It is in between, sort of part of North America and sort of not; partly Latin America and partly not. Places to go, see, stay? Really interesting stuff relating strongly to the Caribbean: Sidney W. Mintz,. 1985, 1986 ). June 14, 2010.

How many layers of personality and personae are we made of? Life is theatre: keep stage and audience in mind wherever possible. Life is a movie: there are things like flexibility, lighting, presentation and various effects to consider. Choices. Options. Actions. Posted by Erik Donald France. December 16, 2011.

Mobile Musings on Culture and the State of the World. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Venus: A Biography (Part II). One of several biographical-mythological details covered in Andrew Dalby's. The J Paul Getty Museum, 2005) is the rise of Venus from ocean to Mount Olympus. Her ascendance is - or seems to be - paralleled in the arc of Psyche. They are pictured together here by Max Klinger, circa 1881. See him in the light! But of course, how can she not challenge this one rule? Psyche Opening the Golden Box.

Mobile Musings on Culture and the State of the World. Tuesday, August 03, 2010. La Cristiada: The Cristero War. Revolution and civil war: that was the widespread pattern in the wake of "The Great War," World War One (1914-1918). One of the things to sort out was the balance between religious and secular power. Typically, governments tilted toward secular power, as in Turkey, Russia and Mexico, for instance, if not so much in Ireland. Posted by Erik Donald France. August 04, 2010. Today came White Stripes. Finds, or rather shots of Meg White. Before she became famous. The above shot is of an angel created by Tara Duditch. For " Heavenly Creatures.

Somethings on my mind | I've just got to tell somebody
Somethings on my mind. I've just got to tell somebody. Asymp; 2 Comments. Some times, we make physical space for things to occur. We move things around to get a new piece of furniture. We get rid of old clothes to buy new ones. We shift things around to let someone else occupy physical space around us. But what about the emotional space? When do we start to empty ourselves, of ourselves to begin to make space for others? Chivalry, a good practice. Asymp; Leave a comment. At first, I didn’t even rem...

Michelle's Random Thoughts
A sneak peek into my brain. Wednesday, February 11, 2015. It's been so long since I blogged I'm not sure how to do this! So much has changed in Blogger. Forgive me as I muddle through ;). So, yeah, I live in the Boston area. It's been a bit snowy lately (the understatement of the year). I don't like the snow. I don't like winter or cold weather either. I should have stayed in Arizona when I moved there back in 1990! It's just too much snow! Sunday, May 26, 2013. 2 posts in one day? Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
