Quilting Fever: 04/01/2011 - 05/01/2011
http://michellesweetser.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
A journal recording one quilter's progress on quilts, inspiration, and ramblings, with links to various quilting resources. Thursday, April 14, 2011. Slide Show quilt, completed for West Suburban. Quilters' Guild charity challenge. I was undecided about completing a charity quilt for this month's quilt guild. I opted to use Atkinson Designs. Pattern, Slide Show. Because it was simple and I was able to pull everything but the backing and border from my stash. The top went together really quickly and I...
Quilting Fever: Row By Row
http://michellesweetser.blogspot.com/2012/03/row-by-row.html
A journal recording one quilter's progress on quilts, inspiration, and ramblings, with links to various quilting resources. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. That featured a cute panel with a monkey on a bicycle and I thought Jonah would enjoy it:. The panel that started it all. And I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of the quilt I started a year ago and completed last summer. Better late than never! The February 2011 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting. I had Patched Works. The quilt has been ha...

A journal recording one quilter's progress on quilts, inspiration, and ramblings, with links to various quilting resources. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. This baby quilt has been a while in the making as well, though not quite as long as my previous post. I began it at quilt retreat in November, but was unable to finish it at the time as I needed to order backing, border, and binding fabric. Have I mentioned that I really like to use white in baby quilts of late? The pattern in the book used a setting of 5x...

Quilting Fever: Baby Quilts
http://michellesweetser.blogspot.com/2013/02/baby-quilts.html
A journal recording one quilter's progress on quilts, inspiration, and ramblings, with links to various quilting resources. Friday, February 22, 2013. Me with Jude at 3 weeks. Quilt hanging above changing station. I did complete a number of projects in anticipation of Jude's arrival! Who doesn't love making quilts for babies? I started with a quilt to hang over his changing station. After thumbing through mountains of ideas, I settled on the Pink Lemonade. Square quilt hanging above the crib.

A little self indulgence: September 2009
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
A little self indulgence. Monday, September 14, 2009. Starving Artist Show 2009. Over the weekend, Michelle and I went to our first "Starving Artist Show" at nearby Mt. Mary College. The event takes place annually and has lots of great artists selling their work at a maximum price of $100 per piece. We found some art that we really liked, and I thought I would show it off a little here. The first piece we got is a watercolor on watercolor canvas by Peggy Engsberg. The next stop was for some pottery. ...

A little self indulgence: Dangerous Drivers
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2010/01/dangerous-drivers.html
A little self indulgence. Thursday, January 21, 2010. I'm tired of getting frustrated at drivers who do crazy things on the road that endanger themselves and everyone around them. Road rage sets in, and I feel inclined to do stupid things back, like speeding up to prevent someone from passing on the right. These people seem to feel they are more entitled to the road than everyone else. Rather than engage in such practices, I've decided to instead make a list. 19 January 2010 - 8 am. Heading east on Wisco...
A little self indulgence: Pain is good, right?
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2010/01/pain-is-good-right.html
A little self indulgence. Monday, January 18, 2010. Pain is good, right? I thought I was in reasonably good shape. I mean, I run half-marathons in reasonable time (sub-two hours), so how out of shape could I be? Well, last week I started the P90X. I've been a bit sore over the past week, but it is a good pain. Overall, I feel energized and good. I've been sitting more upright and am looking forward to seeing progress over the next few weeks. Hang in there, honey! Itll get easier, Im sure.
A little self indulgence: December 2009
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A little self indulgence. Sunday, December 20, 2009. New Zealand and Australia trip 2009 - Day 1. I had been hoping to get around to this a little sooner, but I thought I would chronicle a bit of the trip Michelle and I took to New Zealand and Australia to celebrate our tenth anniversary. To make it more easy to write up (and read! I thought I would break it into the smaller chunks of days. While on our layover in LA. The form stated "raw" nuts, but we opted not to take any chances. A little self indulgence: Digital magazines
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2009/08/digital-magazines.html
A little self indulgence. Monday, August 24, 2009. I received my latest issue of Smithsonian. Magazine today, and it had an outer cover with the big label "Go green" to promote their new option to receive your subscription digitally. I'm all for saving a tree, so I thought I would investigate a little at http:/ www.smithsonian.com/godigital. Where they have posted the August issue as a sample. My apologies to the environment, but for now, make mine paper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
A little self indulgence: July 2008
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
A little self indulgence. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Over the past several days, I have had the opportunity to take advantage of the "convenience" of trying to get baseball game tickets through mlb.com, which uses tickets.com as its ticketing agent. Because it does not appear to be easy to provide official feedback about the ticketing, I've decided to instead post a little blog rant about it. What irks me is that I'm paying $4 per ticket. Or what if you are looking for tickets in particular sections? Becaus...
A little self indulgence: Return of the U-Turn
http://bsweetser.blogspot.com/2010/01/return-of-u-turn.html
A little self indulgence. Monday, January 25, 2010. Return of the U-Turn. As of the beginning of the year, though, there is no longer a law against u-turns in controlled intersections unless otherwise marked. This morning, it shaved a couple minutes of my morning commute. I need to get used to it again, but it is a good thing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Return of the U-Turn. Me, Myself, and I. Pain is good, right?

Sweet moments
Søndag den 7. september 2014. Weekend i motionens tegn.

Read about our new life down south! Thursday, November 1, 2012. This year for Halloween Mason is a Ninja, Kennedy will be a cat and Kameryn will be an elephant. If these outfits look familiar that's because I'm an avid recycler of Halloween costumes ;-) The kids didn't seem to mind, all they care about is the candy! Here is just a portion of the aftermath, the rejects went to work with Charles! Notice the grabby little hand at the top of the picture! Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Let me tell you that thes...
