Aug 25, 2010. Almost a year ago, I visited the Michigan State Fair for what was to be its last season. The Michigan State Fair was the longest running in the United States spanning over 160 years, surviving the depression, until budget cuts forced its closure in 2010. The pond is on the north side of Tienken. Road here in Rochester - between Brewster and Livernois. I wish I could have stopped and taken a picture but traffic moves at a pretty good clip along Tienken. The Kids Are All Right. 4-H club. A few of them entered birds at the Michigan State Fair.
