NASA - Reduced Gravity Student Flight Opportunities Program
https://microgravityuniversity.jsc.nasa.gov/theProposal/advice.cfm
Emphasize science in the proposal - there should be some theory, postulate, data or calculation that leads you to believe that the phenomena you are investigating will react differently in microgravity than in your 1-G lab. Simply proposing to do something to see what happens will probably weaken your proposal's technical merit. A well-stated hypothesis with underlying rationale on why you believe something will happen will probably strengthen your proposal's technical merit. First time flyers often have...

Citrus College Microgravity Team: Today was the day!
http://citrusgraviteam.blogspot.com/2011/06/today-was-day.html
Thursday, June 23, 2011. Today was the day! Just wanted to let you know that none of our boys got sick on the flight today, but our mentor did. They really enjoyed the flight! We still have to analyze the results and the video before we make any solid conclusions about our experiment. Tomorrow, Phoebe, Jackie, and Wesley fly. Due to the tired fliers, and tomorrow's fliers needing to get sleep, we will share more details with everyone later. :). Posted by Citrus Graviteam. 2nd Day of Flight!

Citrus College Microgravity Team: Ready to fly!!! =)
http://citrusgraviteam.blogspot.com/2011/06/ready-to-fly.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Tomorrow is the big day! This morning started with the usual briefing followed by a day of "lightning holds" which kept us restricted to the building we were in for lengthy periods of time. :). This is what lightning holds do to us. and Professor Riderer put up with us the whole time :). Jackie and Phoebe with the man from D.C. headquarters who funded the flight week for us. :). Our experiment with the liquids added :). Looking good in their flight suits :). 2nd Day of Flight!

June 02-11, 2011. Our group visited over 200 fourth and fifth grade students in the Pasadena area and got their input on what we should do in microgravity. In each classroom we gave a presentation and series of demonstrations in which the students had the chance to experience some scientific concepts first hand. We experimented with density, gravity, and air resistance. If you'd like us to visit your school, let us know by emailing us here! Visit the California Institute of Technology website.
