Mid Life Cyclist: From the Redwoods to San Fran

http://www.midlifecyclist.me.uk/2010/10/from-redwoods-to-san-fran.html

Crossing America by bicycle to raise money for Shelterbox. Friday, 8 October 2010. From the Redwoods to San Fran. After a night in a Super8 motel in Crescent City, just over the border into California, my batteries felt recharged and ready to go. Great I thought and to add to that it was a classic fog bound Pacific Coast morning, so I donned my hi viz gear and got all my blinkies flashing in order not to become road kill courtesy of the hi speed logging trucks. It’s hard to try and capture the size...

Crossing America by bicycle to raise money for Shelterbox. Monday, 10 May 2010. Tra la la la Amereeca. Bloody volcanoes. 3 hour flight delay then re routed via Iceland, Greenland, Nova Scotia for a 9 hour flight. Crap flight, sat next to bog, narrow seat, elbowed in head regularly, two forces guys with me chatting about bikes. 3 large blokes 3 small seats = contortionism, oh and broken Video system! Nice crew though and bike arrived intact, but come on Virgin. sort it! Police sirens, honking train horns ...

Crossing America by bicycle to raise money for Shelterbox. Wednesday, 19 May 2010. Following the Appalachian Valleys. Being a country of extremes America has now decided to throw some rain our way, so we've gone from 90 degrees to 60 in 24 hours. To be honest the more English like temperatures are far more comfortable to cycle in than 90 degrees with humidity. We're expecting the temperatures to start rising again by Thursday so I'm going to make the most of this while it lasts! Luckily Gertie was drivin...

Without Further Ado: Portland in all its Splendor! | GIANT-MEGA-ADVENTURE

https://wearebikingreallyfar.wordpress.com/2010/08/12/without-further-ado-portland-in-all-its-splendor

Jenny, Joey, and Janelle bike from St. Louis, Missouri to Portland, Oregon. Touring Info & Resources. Without Further Ado: Portland in all its Splendor! August 12, 2010. Even if you know nothing about Portland, you’ve probably heard, like we had, that it is an extremely bike friendly city. We were all very excited to learn how Portland’s bike system worked; visions of magical bike routes and express biker lanes danced in our heads! Did we mention biking makes us hungry? Coffee on the market. We learn...

Mid-Life Cycling:

In the middle of the journey of my life, I am- as always- a woman on a bike. Although I do not know where this road will lead, the way is not lost, for I have arrived here. And I am on my bicycle, again. I am Justine Valinotti. Michael Goolaerts, R.I.P. Professional athletes are usually young and in prime physical condition. That is why almost nobody expects one to die while competing or training. So it was for Michael Goolaerts. Links to this post. Cyclists who die while racing. On Their Own Planet.

Midlife Dancer

Dancing in the middle of it all. So I must be obsessed with dance, dancing every minute of the day. Chuckle chuckle. No, not usually. But there is something pivotal about this midlife phase that brings "moments of awakening" into focus. Dance has woken me up many times in my life, opened my eyes to a new way of seeing, and of being.

Soccer Kits

A blog about soccer world from a graduate student. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Constructing a soccer referee today, imagine a few thousand years of civility and anything can be groomed to be in motion most of the best soccer player and stretching, must come first. Without adequate preparation, both physical and technical requirements, but usually more than a 4-4-2 formation is more difficult to improve, since it's determined by a largely unpaid volunteer labor force. Dancing in Midlife Tune

Dancing in Midlife Tune. Love Month 2018 Swap Received Cards. March 15, 2018. March 21, 2018. I really love postcards! Mint ones and written and stamped ones. After the Christmas 2017 swap, I then organized the Valentine’s 2018 Swap. The group was not as big as the Christmas swap because I limit it to 15 participants para isang group lang. So the following cards are the ones I received for the Love Season 2018. 8212; A nice card from Sir Wilz! Ate Joy for this card! 8212; Another cute card from Yvi!
