April 11, 2017. Midlife Dramas in Pyjamas. Went out for a walk and snack lunch, with hubby and one of the teens. Turned out to be one of the worst lunches I’ve ever had. Nothing to do with the company – they were lovely. But typically British. I immediately had three issues with said ‘toastie’. Not pleasant an...

Midlife Dude | Yeah, well. The Dude abides.

Yeah, well. The Dude abides. Book Review: The Moral Fool. August 30, 2013. A few weeks ago I went to the library after searching for a book, How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World. Caught my eye and was chosen to make the trip to Door County and back before being read. So on to the review before this paragraph grows even longer. A somewhat dense read as might be expected from a non-fiction philosophy text, but that is probably too critical. It was an entertaining read as well as being informative.

midlifedude | Man at midlife making second half matter

Adam Gordon Sachs – Author and Midlife Dude. Man at midlife making second half matter. Play the Whole Tape:’ The Struggle of Addiction. The lanky young man with the tattoos took a break from his intricately-detailed pencil-sketching to look up from his art and turned to face me after I introduced myself to the group. Have you ever been addicted to drugs? No, I responded. Ever been addicted to alcohol? No, I said again. What can you know? He mumbled with disgust and turned back to focus on his artwork.

Midlife Fabulous

April 4, 2016. Midlife Fabulous: Motivational Monday. Don’t Stumble Over Something Behind You. I saw this quote a few months ago and thought about how often we let past experiences or failures define our future. Holding on to the past can limit your future.
