March 2014 | Hope in a Boy's World
http://hopehasavoice.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Archive for March 2014. Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Two weeks after he sent out the invitation, Trey got word that he'd be needed in California for a Monday morning meeting but required to arrive the day before. When? You guesssed it: the day the party was scheduled. I didn't have it in me to reschedule. Again, he promised that I wouldn't have to lift a finger but what were the chances of that, really? Post graduation, part one. Saturday, March 8, 2014. At CU with "Ralphie". For the next two days, I pretend...

Sweet Sixteen 2.0. The summer that wasnt. Bellingham, Washington, United States. View my complete profile. My precious "textbook" firstborn. He is one of those "old souls" who knew his life's purpose from an early age. He is polite, over-the-top social, engaged, driven and a true leader. He loves all the daily conveniences this modern world has to offer andwas born for this century. God's call on his life shines in all he does. 15 wishes on your 15th birthday. Adding some more gray hairs to my head.

Post graduation, part one. Saturday, March 8, 2014. At CU with "Ralphie". Since they couldn't make my graduation party, we had our own little celebration. So sweet. Ty loved his big cousin taking him for a ride in the laundry basket. About to enter the beautiful campus. Everyone loved our poster mocking the naysayers. Week two came to and end and it was time to gear up for my graduation open house.stay tuned for part two. Post graduation, part one. Bellingham, Washington, United States. My precious "text...

The summer that wasn't | Hope in a Boy's World
http://hopehasavoice.blogspot.com/2014/09/the-summer-that-wasnt.html
The summer that wasn't. Friday, September 12, 2014. Summer is my absolute favorite season of all. I love everything about it: The sunshine. The longer days. The spectacular sunsets. The warm evenings. The laid back feeling. No school. No schedules. My fondest memories have usually occurred during the months of June, July and August. Not this year. Some seasons you just have to take what you can get. Sweet Sixteen 2.0. The summer that wasnt. Bellingham, Washington, United States. View my complete profile.

Do you want the truth or the Facebook version? | Hope in a Boy's World
http://hopehasavoice.blogspot.com/2014/05/do-you-want-truth-or-facebook-version.html
Do you want the truth or the Facebook version? Sunday, May 4, 2014. This was my response to a friend's text saying, "I'm dying to hear about Mexico! Back to my response. I don't want to come across as not being appreciative that we got to have an amazing vacation to a beautiful warm and sunny location. I do feel very grateful for this awesome privilege but I was already dreading the question, "how was your trip? But that's just not me. I think you can be honest without being a downer. The baby. The f...

Archive for August 2014. Family Reunion: Chebuhar Style. Thursday, August 7, 2014. I never, in a million years, would have guessed that the purpose of our meeting was not only that this person wanted to have our gathering in Roslyn but that it be held at the 4-star resort and all lodging, airfare and transportation expenses would be covered by an "anonymous donor." Is your jaw dropping? Everytime I looked around, someone was mesmerized by this. Michelle (one of our most creative family members) docum...

A Magical Season: Redeeming my soccer wounds | Hope in a Boy's World
http://hopehasavoice.blogspot.com/2014/06/a-magical-season-redeeming-my-soccer.html
A Magical Season: Redeeming my soccer wounds. Sunday, June 22, 2014. I am a football fan through and through. American football. The kind where grown men go out and pound each other. I love the complexity of the plays, the craziness of the fans, the size of the men, the sheer grit it takes to perform on the gridiron. Baseball? Not enough action. Too many steroids. Basketball? Stinky gyms and a short court. And soccer? As the headline read the next morning, it was "A Perfect Storm.". Ready for the final.

January 2014 | Hope in a Boy's World
http://hopehasavoice.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Archive for January 2014. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Jess just texted me and said he heard it was fatal and that a Squalicum student was involved." My heart sank and I had a sinking feeling he was right. I combed our local paper's website and Facebook looking for any information that might be out there but found nothing. He went outside to take down the Christmas lights and an hour later came in and said, "it's true. It was Hannah.". 171; Previous Entries. Bellingham, Washington, United States. The baby...
