The Retail Guru: "Luxury labels aim to alienate"
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011/07/luxury-labels-aim-to-alienate.html
Monday, July 4, 2011. Luxury labels aim to alienate". This argument was posed to me last week. Fuelled by my passion for the luxury industry I fought my cause. Luxury goods are desirable. People aspire to possess them. I would sacrifice a lot to own a Mulberry tote. For now, I just admire from afar. But I do not begrudge those who own a Mulberry handbag! Regardless of desire and want; what do you think happens to these dresses when you throw them out? I think people are too greedy when it comes to posses...

The Retail Guru: And the gold medal goes to...
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011/11/and-gold-medal-goes-to.html
Saturday, November 5, 2011. And the gold medal goes to. This ad has been at the corner of my eye for a few weeks now.Cadbury always deliver on their campaigns and I love the fact that they invited the public to contribute to the song.very cool! I've been noticing a lot of Olympic themed advertising over in London-it seems as though every company feels obliged to throw an athlete into a TV ad/billboard but this one is clever and it really works. The song is great too! Saturday, November 05, 2011.

The Retail Guru: June 2011
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Complimentary gift.no thanks! Last week I bought my monthly fix of "Elle" magazine; and I was happy to see that a free Reiss top accompanied my purchase. On further inspection, the top was of awful quality, see-through and itchy to wear. Each top is finished with an illustration by French photographer and illustrator, Garance Doré; which is beautiful, but the quality of the garment lets it down. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. The Retail Guru: May 2011
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Last week I went into my local Superquinn for chicken fillets; a basic product that you would expect to find in every supermarket; even your local Centra. I was horrified to see that half of the meat shelves were empty and there were no chicken fillets! I couldn't believe it; and I was further shocked when upon asking a member of staff for help he just didn't care. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The Retail Guru: April 2011
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 8, 2011. Musée Burberry et plus. It's been a while since I have written which could mean two things; a) I have nothing to write about or b) I simply just have not had the time. Luckily the latter is the case; but I am anxious to get back to. A return trip to CrackBird last week with Tweetseats made me a very happy customer and I am still singing their praises. A trip to Paris made me wonder how the French government can sanction historical monuments such as. Friday, April 08, 2011.

The Retail Guru: The trial continues....
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011/06/trial-continues.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Galliano is claiming that he cannot remember making the racial slurs in Paris earlier this year, which led to the loss of his high-profile position at the luxury fashion house. Would he not have been better off to apologise whole heartedly for the incident, which was witnessed by many members of the general public? Galliano himself claims to have been the subject of abuse and torrent. Even if this were true, it is far more likely that people would believe the converse.

The Retail Guru: Starbucks turn fruity
http://aislinnmahon.blogspot.com/2011/11/starbucks-turn-fruity.html
Saturday, November 19, 2011. Of November it was announced that Starbucks had acquired a juice maker Evolution Fresh Inc for $30 million-a relatively small sum for the multibillion dollar company, but an interesting decision nonetheless. CEO Howard Schultz stated their intention was to ‘ reinvent this category in the same tonality that we have reinvented over the last 40 years the basic commodity of coffee’.
