Please dear Lord, tell me what I have done to deserve your bestowing such a beautiful and gentle angel into my life? The answer of course is nothing. Humble creative projects that bring light to my simple life . . . and a little rambling too. Thursday, February 6, 2014. I'm not going to comment on how long it's been since I posted on this blog, I'm not going to try to write something cute or clever. But I do occasionally miss, if even for my own benefit, recording some of my favorite projects. So when I finished this one this morning for Meg's birthday tomorrow . . . Well, here it is . . . Labels: Princess and the Pea. Please help feed homeless pets.

As you now know — and I can’t stress this enough — I love having a calendar that’s merely dotted with activity. Truth be told, I’d prefer it be completely devoid of any and all obligations, with nothing but pop-up requests and spontaneous fun outings. And you know what? It was a good day! You know what else? I have so much trouble making the most of the downtime between...

The first week of the 2014-15 school year is a thing of the past, and we are officially off to the races! Well, not so. Maybe after a couple more weeks it’ll be a different story, but so far every day has had something new to keep me hopping. That’s not a complaint so much as an observation — it was a great week! But for all my craftiness, I’...

Piecetime: Project Improv: Not as easy as I thought
http://piecetime.blogspot.com/2009/01/project-improv-not-as-easy-as-i-thought.html
Project Improv: Not as easy as I thought. I've done what I think is my charity block for Project Improv. Improvising can take longer than working from a pattern. Some traditional quilt rules are still good, like pressing your seams to the dark if you can. I can see from my picture that this block needs to be pressed some more. A quarter inch seam is not always necessary. If you aren't matching seams, then don't worrry about it. Friday, January 16, 2009. I love what we consider to be "wild and crazy"!

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. 2006 – 2007 Reading Log. Spring to Finish: 2010. Only Took Nine Years →. October 1, 2014. It’s been such a crazy month! Anyone who knows me well knows that I like a lot of empty space on my calendar, but that seems to be a thing of the past. It feels like we’ve never been busier, and yet…it’s not all. I know that I was. Also, I have found that whole hours and then days get sucked away, and I feel no further ahead. Away with that! Posted in The Little Things.

Now, that’s laughable on many levels, especially if you’ve ever walked into a bookstore or library. I mean, come on! I’m happy to report that 2010 was not that year. The Guardian (Dee Henderson). Cherries In Winter: My Family’s Recipe for Hope in Hard Times (Suzan Colon). If Today Be Sweet (Thrity Umrigar). Half Life (Roopa Farooki).

Saturday, October 6, 2012. A Year of Kung Fu. I went to a try a class night in September and decided right away to sign up for the 8 week beginner's cycle. From one of the Sparring Rounds of my Orange Belt Test. Then there was my goal of meeting new people. This group of ladies is amazing. It's a group of mostly liberal, outspoken, feminists. I just feel at home and that's pretty rare for me. It's been a really great ride so far and I can't wait to keep moving up the ranks. Tuesday, August 21, 2012.
