Don't get me wrong, I know they are/were excited about the prospect of receiving all the loot on their wish list. But seriously.how can they just sleep through the night without budging knowing that Santa is clearly going to drop off a boat-load of gifts. I'm 36.I still can't sleep when I know Santa is coming. Where in the world are my dolls, barbies, easy-bake ovens?

She looks down and notices a funny looking weed. Wait, it can't be a weed it's too. what's the word. cute. So she decides to leave it be. Forward 1 week. The funny looking weed has now tripled in size. What the heck is that thing? So I'm apologizing now. If anyone tries to visit I will stand with my front door open...

All of a sudden they are growing up and I want to push the pause button but I can't. We've had a week of "Firsts" around the Mieska household lately. Birdbaby had his 'first' haircut (finally at 17 months old! He also had his first experience at mowing the lawn- or acreage for that matter, and loved it! Oh Vey. Slow down, boys, slow down! Confessions from a mom of 4.and her 'dirtybird' boys. Monday, June 6, 2011. Birdboy #3 comes running to me yelling "Lukie killed the mama, Lukie killed the mama". Come to find out there is a small nest in the pine tree with 2 very small featherless, starving little baby birds. UGH! More tears and anxiety from Birdboy #1! The baby birds are still alive! Must not have been the mama! I have one happy little boy that has learned a great lesson. I had to share with everyone at work! Thanks for the laugh!

Confessions from a mom of 4.and her 'dirtybird' boys. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Breakfast: Homemade brown sugar oatmeal (pre-made packets). Lunch: Crescent dogs and chips with fruit. Dinner: Dauchsi-burgers (leftover) with broccoli salad and pineapple slices. B: Waffles with fruit. L: Turkey roll-ups with veggie. Snack: Cheese and crackers. D: Homemade pizza with salad. B: Cereal (kid choice). L: Gooey toasted PB&Js with fruit. B: Scrambled eggs and fruit. L: Pizzadillas and corn. Big boys at camp all day.
