Migrating Stone Number 3

Migrating Stone Number 3. Saturday, 11 September 2010. The PhD is finally, and successfully, finished and so I am now meandering into the unknown scrublands of Doctorhood. On Thursday of this week, I took up a post as poet-in-residence in Exeter University's Geography Department on the Falmouth Campus in Cornwall. Excitement abounds: the residency, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, is for one academic year and already small poetic interventions have begun to appear in the corridors of academia. Sometimes i...

Migrating Stone Number 3. Wednesday, 16 December 2009. Greetings - to anyone out there who might still be checking in with this woefully neglected blog. Things are changing. To be more precise, the migrating stones project is changing. I have just heard that the beloved Arts Council has said and almighty YES to funding the next migrating stone. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This stone is now sited in Kanahooka Park, Woollongong. Please see thestonelibrary.com for more details. I grew up in Street, Somerset...

http://migratingstonenumber3.blogspot.com/2010/02/ive-just-read-most-fantastic-article-on.html

Migrating Stone Number 3. Sunday, 21 February 2010. I've just read the most fantastic article on stones by Anthony Doerr - it was published in Orion magazine and can be read online. It's really worth checking out as it says so much about the relationship between people and stones and how they are going to be around for so much longer than us. So, for now all I can do is stay open and trust that the answer to this dilemma will arrive in its own good time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Migrating Stone Number 3: August 2008

http://migratingstonenumber3.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Migrating Stone Number 3. Monday, 25 August 2008. For me, Rough Tor is a stone kingdom. There are so many stones - balancing stones, tumbling stones, broken stones - that to be human in this place is to be in the minority. There are wild horses and cows and sheep and the wind tumbles around the place like a feverish duster - always sweeping things away, making them fresh, never letting anything settle for too long. At least, that's what I'm thinking today - do let me know if you agree or think differently.

65290; * *. WAKEY WAKEY.

Migrating Taste

Sunday, March 16, 2008. I'm moving this blog over to http:/ migratingtaste.tumblr.com. So that I can more easily update and have a more casual blog. hope you enjoy. Sunday, January 20, 2008. He has his own appropriately titled album coming out sometime this year, Jekyll and Hyde. From what I've heard from early singles, I'd still prefer see him stay in the background, but as long as the tracks stay original, I'll let him do what he wants. Saturday, December 22, 2007.
