Why I applied for a non-standard, 52 page US passport book today. June 2, 2015. A few months back, while wasting time on the interweb, I was surprised to find out that the US has two passport lengths: the standard 28 page passport and a larger 52 page passport. So this afternoon when I went to the US Consulate in Chiang Mai to renew my passport, I applied for a larger passport book. Here is why I…. Are you a biophile too? May 29, 2015. Around Kathmandu and Patan

Around Kathmandu and Patan. January 9, 2017. Scenes from the market along Jagatsundar Marg just south of where I stayed in Kathmandu. Streets in Kathmandu are hectic, taxis, motorbikes, bicycles, cows, trucks, pedestrians, dogs, rickshaws, horns honking, honking, honking. The honking startles me and makes me flinch every time, I don’t think I could get used to it. Fruit vendors wheel their loaded bicycles up and down the streets. Convenience shop in an ancient building. Many of the doorways in Patan are ...

The Moms visit Tee’s village. January 2, 2017. It wasn’t until the morning we left Mae Hong Son that I picked up some famed alawaa. Shan sweets, for Pam and Mom to try. Pam liked the plain alawaa the best while Mom’s favorite was in line with mine, the alawaa jung. They also tried the peng mong and the suay thamin, but the alawaas were the clear winner. We slowly made our way to Khun Yuam. Stopping to buy some roasted beans and popcorn at a roadside setup where women roast assorted bean in hot sand.

How much does 8 months in SE Asia cost? April 25, 2015. From August 2014 to April 2015, I spent 257 days in SE Asia. I traveled for about four of those months and lived in Chiang Mai for the other four. Before I left I had roughly set a $50 a day budget which, after paying for airfare and travel insurance, left me with about $40 a day to spend in…. Why I applied for a non-standard, 52 page US passport book today. Why aren’t Nepali’s clearing their own homes? A few of my favorite things.

Migratory Mama

A blog about Life, Motherhood, and Moving…A LOT. Regardless of how each individual day goes, most end up the same. It all starts with one short phrase: Daddy’s Home! Thankful for…Hot Glue. POSTSCRIPT: Be sure to test a small, inconspicuous area of your drywall before you start hot gluing things to the wall! I’m sure certain paints hold up better than others. Also, I have only tried this method of affixing things to my wall with smaller, light-weight items. Thankful for…My Bundle of Joy. My third pregnanc...

About chain events in life and my life in general. Migratoryman on the move. Bull;13 oktober 2008 • 2 kommentarer. Well well well well, I never thought the day would come when i would write my own blog, funny how things works out on it’s own sometimes. So who am I? That is how I lived my life and are living it. What about the present for now. I had a chat with a friend of mine yesterday, where she asked me where or what i call. Home, well to be true that got me thinking. Where is exactly home for me?

I took a stroll down the ol’ Long Walk…TWICE! April 17, 2014. I am so sorry everyone! It’s been probably almost a month since I have updated this blog….AHHHHH! For the last couple weeks in Ireland there was so much stuff to get done and explore before my departure so I guess the blogging went on the back burner. But I am updating now! So the last two weekends in Ireland I took trips to GALWAY! So the next day we hopped on the bus on the way to Galway! She showed us Galway University, which has the most r...
