AMERICANAinESPANA: February 2009
http://americanainespana.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 12, 2009. I didn´t realize this was even happening until it was brought to my attention in Enrique Dans class. Net neutrality is the idea that everyone gets the same access to the same speed and quality of the net (good). There´s currently no regulation on the internet but the big companies want to start charging based on the content of the websites (bad). Net neutrality (gov. controls) vs. hands off (infrastructure companies to be the gatekeepers). Check out this link and take action!

AMERICANAinESPANA: August 2011
http://americanainespana.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 2, 2011. The US. government just reached an agreement regarding the debt ceiling and current "crisis". I really cannot believe the way we are behaving and the choices we are making as a country. Why must we sensationalize and make everything an "emergency"? Also, I do not know all the details for the current financial situation of the USA but by raising the debt ceiling we are simply taking out more loans to pay off our current loans. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Recomendations in Salou, Spain. The best pasta I have eaten in all of Spain! The portions are quite large. I recommend splitting a meal. The prices are very reasonable and the pasta is homemade. If you go to Salou, DO NOT miss out on this amazing tastespud experience! Do not waste space in your stomach eating their pizza. They have two locations: Murillo, 6-10 Salou 977351999 and Av. Pau Casals, 55 La Pineda - Platja 977373018. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). No tiene nada que ver.

Sunday, September 30, 2012. Driving styles and traffic patterns are so indicative of a society. Take a step back and look at the city you live in. Think about the places you have traveled. Watch the way a society transports itself. Without knowing anything about a certain culture, take a moment to look at the way in which the citizens drive, the flow of traffic, the public and private transport, the structure (traffic lights, police, roadways), the types of transport available, etc. No tiene nada que ver.

AMERICANAinESPANA: Supercapitalism by Robert Reich
http://americanainespana.blogspot.com/2011/01/supercapitalism-by-robert-reich.html
Friday, January 21, 2011. Supercapitalism by Robert Reich. I am currently reading this book and my key takeaways. This change in capitalism shifted the power to the consumers and investors. The citizens lost the power. There was no longer a need for corporate statesman. Profit, profit, profit became all that mattered. Many speak of the "triple bottom line". Let's try and actually implement that and not just empty words. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm a born and bred Texan that enjoyed the Spanis...
