January 27, 2014. Dorothy Aplin - Six Months. Today, at 4:49, she will be 6 months old. She is a blessing. She is more than i could have ever dreamed of. She is sitting up. She hasn't quite grasped this whole 'solid foods' concept. She loves her feet. She smiles, and the room lights up. She is very vocal. She is rolling all around and hates every minute of it. She is my best friend. And a few more, because i just can't help myself. Happy half birthday, sweet girl. Our lives' are richer with you in it.

August 4, 2014. Appie Girl is ONE! Y'all, this girl is ONE! And so much FUN! She wakes up happy. She looooves bananas-she eats one every day for breakfast. She loves to play with her brother and all his toys. She loves to sing. She loves to cuddle. She gave me her first kiss on her birthday. She loves having 'da-da-da' conversations with her brother. She says, 'ish. ish. ish.' all.the.time. She loves to splash. She loves to get into everything she's not suppose to. Even if her puppies aren't there).

Of course, the city shut down, but they actually cleared the roads pretty quickly (Seattle sent down trucks and salt for us to use after the fiasco last month when it snowed an inch and everyone forgot how to drive). One party was so awkward, at one point, Joe and I were eavesdropping on a group of people talking, but we had no interest in joining in the conversation, so we just responded to each other with what we would have said had we joined in.
