I haven't posted in over a month, but it isn't from lack of material or interest.I've been frustrated with blogger cause I couldn't get it to upload videos. It kept freezing. So I quit trying. As of today I started a YouTube channel so I can just embed videos on my blog and stop worrying about it. Miss Nora is almost 4 months old and definitely out of the "grub" stage (newborn sleepy sleep floppy head etc.), and is quite a charmer for the video camera, s.

As it was a spectacularly beautiful October day, we took a short drive out of town to the Vesperman Farms Pumpkin Patch right outside of Lancaster. While we skipped the corn maze. Nora had a delightful time sitting on giant pumpkins. And sliding down giant pumpkins. And trying to haul away very large pumpkins. Until she found a pumpkin just her size. I was lax because I figured people wouldn't want to hear the same stories every year- new cows, gardening, baling hay, splitting wood. My Life on the Farm. And Other Extraordinary Tales. Sunday, April 12, 2015. My job was to watch the tree as Art cut a v-notch in it- he told me to scream as loud as I could if the tree started to fall. I was able to get a short video of the tree falling though! We were able to clean up most of the branches and Art started cutting up the trunk to burn in his wood stove. It's not a hardwood but it'll burn just the same. He will have to clean out his stove more often, but his shop will be warm!

Not only did we have he wood stove on the house but we also had the outdoor wood stove. There's been Helen and Keller (both partially blind), Peggy (with the broken leg), and Ray (as in 'Charles'; completely blind). We haven't had any misfits since Ray was sent on his way and I had to stop naming our cows because not one of them had any distinguishing characteristics (I can't even tell them apart).
