Our walking tour eventually brought us to Piazza Navona which is Rome’s most famous square. At any time of day or night there are hundreds of people milling about here. The scenic buildings flanking each side, the impressive Fontana dei Quatro Fiumi in the center, and the general atmosphere of the square would bring us back here numerous times in the five days ahead.
