Mike Doyle's Snap: Three Story Victorian with Tree: Work in Progress
http://mikedoylesnap.blogspot.com/2010/12/three-story-victorian-with-tree-work-in.html
Three Story Victorian with Tree: Work in Progress. A brief look at the uncompleted house. There is something I find very, very appealing about this tree. It is large, allowing me to get lots of branches using ridged hoses covered in pins, technic connectors and droid arms. The result is a wonderful and convincing network of branches that give the piece the organic layering that I enjoy. Many of the techniques I use here I picked up from the work of Doctor Mobius’ and his bugs. December 15, 2010 at 2:21 PM.

A future graphic designer or engineer, possibly! Would y...
Mike Doyle's Snap: MTR - Mountaintop Removal
http://mikedoylesnap.blogspot.com/2015/01/mtr-mountaintop-removal.html
MTR - Mountaintop Removal. Sometimes called “strip mining on steroids”, this disastrous form of mining in the US has leveled total area the size of Delaware. Over 500 mountains along the pristine mountain areas of the Appalachian mountains (believed to be some of the oldest mountains on the globe) have been leveled – poisoning the aquifers, releasing heavy metals, forever destroying wildlife habitat. Over 2000 miles of streams have been buried. Add your voice to the email protest campaign:. TWO STORY WIT...

Mike Doyle's Snap: Two Story with Basement
http://mikedoylesnap.blogspot.com/2010/09/abandoned-house-series-first-project.html
Two Story with Basement. To my eyes, patterns of decay find a more pleasing path than an untouched object. A roof collapsed by the weight of snow, side shingles ripped by the force of winds, substructures rotting, insects and weather gnawing the exposed surfaces. I can picture those windy days where a shingle flies off. Or the sudden creaking, cracking and burst of tinder giving way under snow's heavy hand. At once I see what was, as a complete home, and what lies before me now. You are genius :). Septem...

Traveling the world and learning about new cultures, one country at a time…. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Newer posts →. HIV/AIDS Bike Trek quick recap…. I was in charge of the NBR team, and another PCV was in charge of the CRR team. Aside from just lecturing about HIV/AIDS, there were many games, skits/dramas, singing, and dancing during the trek. There are hundreds of photos and videos to still sort through, but here’s a taste. Below are photos from the NBR team. Click to share o...

Food sculptor (yes, that's a thing) Ray Villafane carved the world's heaviest pumpkin. Into a giant, zombie-infested nightmare. Not Your Average Developer
Not Your Average Developer. A place to gather my thoughts about new technologies, new things learned, and what I can do to try to improve "the process". Posted by Michael Doyon. As developers, we all do it. We're not proud of it but we do it anyways. I'm talking about writing bad code. Often times, we even know the code is bad while we are writing it. So why do we accept our own subpar code? So I reiterate, why do we accept it? Posted by Michael Doyon. Most professional developers use some form of versio...
