Thursday, November 13, 2008. At Hunter's request for a "puppy and a kitty for my birthday" (he will be 3 on Nov 28th), We found a place to meet and play with kitties and puppies. The Humane Society. What we didn't realize is that there would actually be "normal" animals at this Humane Society. (For all of you who met our old family dog Jake, and our cat Gwen, you know they weren't "normal"). Wednesday, April 30, 2008. As the winter months came to an end spring brought some unexpected events. As the northern states began to warm up, the snow melted and the rivers began to rise. Added to that there were several days of heavy rains and together caused some flooding. The mighty Mississippi River over ran its banks on April 27 th. The water poured into downtown Davenport. Monday, April 27, 2009. Grandma and Grandpa Walhovd Visit Boise. Hunter greets Grandma Walhovd at the Airport.after his bedtime. He brought a flashlight to be sure we could find her in the dark! Grandma stayed for a whole week during Hunter's spring break! He was one lucky guy. Hunter takes Grandma on a few walks with his big-wheel, although he refuses to pedal! So we have to take lots on breaks. Grandma tries pushing him. They both need a break after that! The top peak on the Foot Hills is our goal.
