New Lives From Guatemala to Texas. At least until we come up with a different name. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Ethan turned one month yesterday. He has his one month check-up this Friday. I can't wait to see how much he has grown and how much weight he has gained. His cheeks and belly look much bigger these days. New Lives From Guatemala to Texas. At least until we come up with a different name. Tuesday, March 09, 2010. On Sunday afternoon Ethan felt warm when he woke up from his nap. I couldn't find the thermometer so I just went ahead and gave him a dose of Motrin. Two hours later, he felt very warm so I found the thermometer and discovered that he had 103 degree fever! This created a moral dilemma: should I lie and said that I couldn't find the bottle or admit that I had given my child the wrong medication?

I took him for his check up at the pediatrician's office this morning and this is what he discovered that he could do, while waiting for the doctor to come in.
