Ghola Scale: March 2014
http://gholascale.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A chronicle of projects restoring and sculpting scale fantasy and science fiction miniatures. Sunday, March 23, 2014. Back From the Dead. When did I last post something? Last year, at least it hasn't been a whole year. Anyway, time to get back to work, many unfinished projects. Here's something to flex the mind and hand-muscles: I bought some Pro-Create, the gray-colored epoxy material, to see how it fares against the classic Green Stuff. Posted by Ghola Scale. The Society of Torch, Pole and Rope: February 2013
http://poleandrope.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 28, 2013. Goin' Back to Ohio. The next stop on my Ill-CONceived Tour of 2013. In Cincinnati, OH, where I'll be running four sessions of DCC RPG, including a sneak-peek at The Croaking Fane. A playtest of an upcoming adventure suitable for 1st level PCs or as a zero-level funnel, and my own rambling street-crawl in the city of Oolvanvar. Lodging for Cincycon 2013 is courtesy of Mr. Tim Kask, who is kind enough to let me hang my hat at his home for the weekend. Is going to see the majori...

Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Summer on the Convention Trail. Hey, looky there. It looks like I’ll actually post something here before the month runs out. OK, so every now and then I get to pick the lock on my cage and escape into the wild for a few days before a refugee from Animal Planet. As of right now, I’m scheduled to attend three conventions this summer, with a fourth a strong possibility. Here are the stops on my Summer Rampage Tour. North Texas RPG Con. 8212;I’ll actually be arriving on the 5. 8220;Met...

People them with Monsters: Do-It-Yourself OD&D Woodgrain Box
http://peoplethemwithmonsters.blogspot.com/2012/05/do-it-yourself-od-woodgrain-box.html
Adventures in Outland (DCC RPG). Saturday, May 19, 2012. Do-It-Yourself OD&D Woodgrain Box. Since I'll likely never buy my own brown box, I decided to take a stab at making one. Here is what I did. Get the materials. You will need the following:. 6x9 cardboard box (good luck with this part! Woodgrain contact paper (I used this one. Not sure if it matches exactly, but I don't really care. I'm sure it's close enough! Scissors (and a scrapbooking razor slicer if you got one). Make some cuts in the corners s...

destination unknown: The Warehouse on Llewellyn Street
http://unknownzine.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-warehouse-on-llewellyn-street.html
Sunday, September 1, 2013. The Warehouse on Llewellyn Street. T least one or two scenes per session take place at this dilapidated old warehouse on Llewllyn St. near Chinatown. There have been a few pitched battles there, so I thought I'd quickly build a piece of terrain. I just need a basic model to emulate the first floor. The model is ugly and crude, but I think it might work. A top down view. Very few frills. Just something to add a bit of atmosphere to a recurring location. Thanks, Bill. Quick a...

Overpriced items for your campaign. May 20, 2014 10:17 pm. 5 sp, Rust Monster Repellant (it’s really cheap cedar wood essence and it doesn’t work). 40 gp, Left Handed Dragon Fire Diverter tm (a 5×5 tin sheet of metal with arm straps, will melt in fire or acid breath, causing extra damage to those behind it). 5 gp, Bendy potion straw. 1 cp, Map of snipe nests. 5 cp, Nine foot pole. 50 sp, 320 page tome. All prices are based on the silver standard (1gp in most games = 1 sp here). Sorry I was AWOL.

DCC Magic Items to playtest. March 28, 2016 7:03 pm. I don’t give out a lot of magic loot in my Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign and one of my players was just telling me she likes it that way. So of course now I have to hand out some magic loot! The first is a way to get ley lines and places of power into the game by giving the players a diving rod. There’s several mentions of ley lines and places of power in the DCC core rulebook but not much about detecting them. 5 minutes = 20m. 10 minutes = 50m.
