Mike Moore's EDU-blog

What turns my crank and boils my blood about teaching. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. E-learning reflection and expectations. Of public education is to provide a healthy medium for socalization for young people. Allowing many courses to be offered from remote locations is quite convenient for many people, but it could be the beginning of a slippery slope (I love that over-used phrase). What turns my crank and boils my blood about teaching. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. I chose to use. Lord Of The Flies. In an ENG 2D class. My goals of this unit were: to affect good collaborative writing so that students will write a polished 5-paragraph essay, an interior monologue and a novel excerpt. To have a look at the assignment go to Mike's Curriculum Project. Mike Thanks for introducing me to Scribd. But when I went there following your link, the document had been removed. Mike Moore's EDU-blog: Far From the Madding Crowded Curriculum

http://www.mikemoore42.blogspot.com/2008/07/far-from-madding-crowded-curriculum.html

What turns my crank and boils my blood about teaching. Friday, July 11, 2008. Far From the Madding Crowded Curriculum. Could this be done with a much smaller assignment in a much smaller time frame? Before viewing the episode "The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons" students would be asked to read the article http:/ www.asiansinmedia.org/news/article.php/television/1135. Did they paint a negative view? Students will choose someone they trust for editing. They can go into pairs after viewing and discuss whe...

Mike Moore's EDU-blog: The Question of Accountability

http://www.mikemoore42.blogspot.com/2008/07/question-of-accountability.html

What turns my crank and boils my blood about teaching. Sunday, July 6, 2008. The Question of Accountability. We are accountable to students through credit recovery progams. We are compelled through administration and our heads to share accountability with the student and parents. If a student repeats a course or decides to drop out, the checks and balances are in place to ensure that we have had shared accountability for that student’s educational choice. None of these policies are intrusive to me. I...

Non-runner girl: May 2007

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 5, 2007. A Manifesto from My Feet. We the undersigned do hereby formally announce our desire to separate from Danika's body. We believe that after months of undue stress and torture we can no longer undure the constant abuse: namely the confinement to running shoes, the blisters, the insufficient "moisture wicking" socks, and the burden of supporting her unwieldy frame for kilometers at a time. Drive a car like a normal freaking human being! Left foot (the badly blistered one) and Right foot.

Non-runner girl: August 2009

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 24, 2009. Please don't stop the music. So here's my list of songs that I like to run to. Please understand that this list may include songs that make any self-respecting music-lover cringe. Many of my running songs would never be on any other playlist that I listen to. Im Yours - Jason Mraz. Then I tend to need something with a good beat to remind my feet to keep moving after the bouncy fun delusion fades. Pon De Replay "Rihanna" - Rihanna. Maneater - Nelly Furtado. With Or Without You - U2.

Non-runner girl: July 2009

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 31, 2009. Wedding Dresses and Wizard of Oz. Today I realized that I hadn't tried on my wedding dress this year. Which is normal for most normal people, but I'm kind of a freak. Every anniversary (not necessarily on the very day) I dress up in my wedding dress and flounce around the house for a few minutes. Here's the evidence. I also had lunch with my good friend and former associate teacher, Wendy, who has my life all planned out for me which is very helpful! At Covent Garden Market. I was ...

Non-runner girl: August 2008

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 31, 2008. So yesterday I found a place where I could actually by wool to spin. So exciting (for a nerd like me)! This morning Brian and I got the spinning wheel set up and the bobbin in place using bits of cardboard from a beer case and a metal washer. Ahh, ingenuity. I think I need to find a leather strap or something to go around the wheel because I can't get the tension right. Still. It kind of worked which is pretty cool. Posted by Danika Barker. Friday, August 29, 2008. I do like being.

Non-runner girl: Shorts or Tights?

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2009/08/shorts-or-tights.html

Tuesday, August 4, 2009. This a question of physical pain or psychological pain really. After Brian hopped on his bike and took off for a work-out I decided that I better get going too. It's not like I'm training for anything but my friend Andrea said she does not want to go b2s (that's code for something I can't bring myself to type) still looking pregnant and well, neither do I! Although, I never was pregnant and Andrea was so . Built in bra, I put on my running shorts (which are Lululemon, but are not.

Non-runner girl: March 2009

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 21, 2009. Posted by Danika Barker. Forest city road race. Things I do on March Break. It's been a pretty nice March Break all things considered. The weather has been unseasonably warm (for most of the week) here and I had an eventfully uneventful week. On Saturday, no one actually showed up. We literally had no audience. So we demolished the cake. Apparently we will be remounting the show (after a well-thought out publicity plan) in May. It's at the Blackshire Pub. I also inherited some f...

Saturday, September 22, 2007. On Running a Half Marathon. Yeah I also woke up with a cold this morning. It was coming all week and BAM! Actually I convinced myself that I was fine until 10 km at which point my body went "Like HELL you're fine.". I will do better next time. And you better believe there will be a next time. So watch out pregnant-looking-forty-something man who beat me. Your ass is mine. Actually. I don't want anything to do with your ass, I just want to beat you next time. 7 The runner's w...

Non-runner girl: And that's why you do long runs

http://nonrunnergirl.blogspot.com/2009/08/and-thats-why-you-do-long-runs.html

Friday, August 7, 2009. And that's why you do long runs. Just did 5.5km little run. Felt pretty good even though I had a ridiculous lunch consisting of a bowl of edamame beans. It as what I wanted ok? And I'm 30 years old now so if I want to eat a bowl of edamame beans for lunch I'll do it. The whole time I was running I thought, "I'm fueled by soy! I also thought "Hey, this isn't so bad! Posted by Danika Barker. August 7, 2009 at 1:14 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Please dont stop the music.

Michael Moore | husband, father, volunteer, and town government participant

Husband, father, volunteer, and town government participant. October 7, 2012. View all 2 comments. After getting out on the water in our canoe for the first time. we realized it wasn’t quite stable enough to fish, at least not with a five-year-old in the canoe. So I did a little research and came up with a plan to build an outrigger for our canoe. The design is simple. I spent about $40 on supplies. And it only took about two hours to produce. 3 10 ft. PVC pipes, 1 inch diameter. 4 90 degree elbows.
