Occasional thoughts about almost anything by oldgreyheron. Wynyard Hall Rose Garden. 3 November, 2015. My wife (Sandra), father-in-law (Dick) and I visited the Headland in Hartlepool on Sunday. For the other two this was a trip down memory lane, especially for Dick as he lived on the Headland and is a Heugher as those from the environment are known! The Headland is rich with history, and even on this, one of many visits, I learned more about its past. So let me start with an image which surprised me.
