Our Mission to Italy. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Who do we worship. If The Lord be God, follow him, but if Baal be God then follow him.". Then he did the experiment. Remember? He asked the prophets of Baal:. Get two bullocks and you take one and and cut it in pieces and lay it on wood, with no fire under it. Elijah said he would take the other bullock, and lay it on wood and put no fire under it. And the children of Israel were all convinced that The Lord is the one and only true God. I thought it was ...

Our Mission to Italy: Learn a new thing each day
http://geriandpaulscherbel.blogspot.com/2014/11/learn-new-thing-each-day.html
Our Mission to Italy. Thursday, November 20, 2014. Learn a new thing each day. In the Doctrine and Covenants Section 42:61 it says:. And in Section 30:19, it says:. I think that we need to pay attention and learn from the people around us; our family members, our neighbors, and even from those who have different opinions and beliefs. We can learn from our trials and from our weaknesses. We can learn so much through observing nature and the creations of God. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://geriandpaulscherbel.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Our Mission to Italy. Sunday, June 29, 2014. Goodbye to two more wonderful missionaries. I really don't like transfers. We get these wonderful missionaries and fall n love with them, and then they get transferred to other parts of Italy, and we seldom get to see them again unless they get sent to Rome. We have been able to see Elder Ostler and Elder Phillips and Sister Ghio in Rome! Wednesday night, we went to Donna Sophia's, for Pizza with Elder Line and Elder Sorensen,. I am really going to miss him!

Our Mission to Italy. Sunday, December 29, 2013. Occasionally we reach the top of one summit in life. It seems like that is just how life is. Here is his quote from April 1997 general conference:. Friday, December 27, 2013. Christmas in Narni, Italy. We saw Mr and Mrs Claus. (AKA President and sister Waddoups). Then we drove over by a town called Tierini where we saw the beautiful water falls called cascata delle Marmore. On our way there we saw Santa galloping down the street on his horse. The pits were...

http://geriandpaulscherbel.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Our Mission to Italy. Tuesday, November 25, 2014. I gave an adrestimento today about Hope, for our District meeting. I learned so much and I thought I would write down a few of the things I learned, so that I can remember them. Moroni 7:41 asks "what is it ye shall hope for? I think we all hope that we can be happy and that our family will be safe and happy too. 2 Nephi 31:20 says to , "press forward .having a perfect brightness of hope.". I love him so very much. Grand baby #18 made it safe to earth! We were overjoyed to get a call from Tommy, on Friday morning, to say that Cam was in labor. She was three weeks early, and she still has finals to go through at BYU, but he baby had other ideas! You can definitely tell that Tommy and Cam are so excited.

Our Mission to Italy. Saturday, May 31, 2014. D&C 88:7 This is the Light of Christ. This is the light of Christ. He is.the light of the sun. D&C 88:7. I took this picture today. It is symbolic to me for two reasons. First of all, the weather forcast for today was: "heavy rain all day with thunder storms and high winds". Instead, the sun came out from the clouds and we had a perfect day. I am so thankful. Saturday, May 24, 2014. Sister Knudsen and Elder Sorensen have just been transferred into Battipaglia.

Our Mission to Italy: August 2014
http://geriandpaulscherbel.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Our Mission to Italy. Friday, August 22, 2014. The gardens are incredible with five hundred fountains and garden pathways and hedges everywhere. The palace was for the governor of Tivoli and was built before 1550. But Cardinal Ippolito D'Este, when he became governor, took possession in 1550 and remodeled it. The area for the gardens is so big that they had to demolish a whole area of the town to make room for the elaborate gardens. Thursday, August 21, 2014. Learning to make Pizza from Martina.
