Artist, printmaker, photographer. Likes baking bread. Lives in Kent. His imagination is often elsewhere. Painting & drawing. Roger Frames buys Budjit Games. For the magazine Commodore Format, involving the penny-pinching antics of Roger, who acted out his computer game role-play with disastrous consequences. Working with Ollie Alderton, the art editor of Commodore Format, on the Roger Frames series has to be one of the most-fun-things I ever did. Roger Frames’ farewell. Two good printmaking courses.

Created by various methods: watercolour, inks, acrylics, pencils and digital art including iPad apps. None of these pieces were commissioned, which, after a lifetime of fulfilling client briefs, makes the creative act surprisingly difficult! Roger Frames’ farewell. Two good printmaking courses. I am having great fun learning the printmaking processes of linocut and silkscreen. Thanks to Hugh Ribbans. Who introduced me to the delights of the reductive process of linocut and to Suki Hayes-Watkins & Karen Radford of the Print Block. Whitstable for their excellent silkscreen course. These are very new. The ink is dry just. Roger Frames’ farewell. Two good printmaking courses.

Stephen Bradbury - Special Feature Page 2

http://www.stephenbradbury.com/Special-Feature-Page-2.html

As promised, here is another Feature Page showcasing a painting  which I believe was a significant step towards the art I am producing today. It was another experimental painting, where, I was beginning to combine figurative and abstract elements together. Its painted in oils on canvas and measures  36ins x 30ins / 91cm x 76cm. . I used to play the violin. Ive always played the guitar, and when I was young I played the clarinet. Anyway, as I said I used to play the violin ( very badly! Back to my story!

The Oink! Blog: January 2015

http://the-oink-blog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Friday, 30 January 2015. 48: HUNGRY FOR HUMOUR? As well as remembering running to the newsagents first thing on Saturdays. To get them as a child, it's clear this was the day they came out. Not Fridays. Not sure why the cover says that then but that's the case, so we're back to Fridays here on the blog. (I can remember Buster. Coming out on Saturdays too yet it said 'Every Monday. On the cover. Strange.). Anyway, on to something more interesting than all that. Coming back to see how each issue was 'assem...

The Oink! Blog: August 2015

http://the-oink-blog.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 26 August 2015. GO TO PART FIVE: THE TRANSFORMERS. I could very easily say click here. And be done with this post if I'm honest, but that wouldn't be like me and so here we go again with another comic which, for reasons I can't fathom, you'll find very little about online. While its companion title Big Comic Fortnightly. Is fondly remembered and you'll find plenty of cover images and information on the web, you'd be hard pushed to see any proof of Funny Fortnightly. Could be found in both, the...

The Oink! Blog: December 2014

http://the-oink-blog.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 31 December 2014. Happy New Year (again) everyone and welcome to Rubbish Man. S party (and you thought Jools Holland's guest list was impressive) to celebrate the end of 1987 and the beginning of a brand new, shiny 1988. Oink! Had had an absolutely golden run of faultless issues, released a superb book for the first time and was about to turn weekly in only a matter of days, what was not to love about the new year? Then, dig in and enjoy the company of the assembled masses:. GO TO PART TWO.

The Oink! Blog: May 2014

http://the-oink-blog.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Friday, 30 May 2014. 29: THE SWILLS ARE ALIVE. Have just uploaded that cover to this post while listening to Forgotten Eighties. Such is the failure of the ol' grey cells. So on with the 29th edition and no disrespect intended to any of the hugely talented Oink! Crew but there's something special about grabbing the next issue and seeing an Ian Jackson. Style, on the Grunts. Before the comic strips we've also got the small matter of the "FREE LPs" given away with this issue. A free LP? So yes, the 3-panel...

Friday, February 1, 2013. Well, by now we've all heard the story of Burger King and horse meat. If not, here's the story:. Http:/ www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/31/burger-king-horsemeat-admits-tainted n 2593538.html. The jokes are too easy. And what better way to commemorate this event than with a song parody? The song, is taken from the 1973 hit single recorded by Cher entitled "Half Breed" Here's the video:. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Just in case you'd like to sing along. Cook it in a croc pot.
