NEW LOOK, SAME BLOG Mike, Julie and Brennan Weston. Sunday, January 05, 2014. Christmas at Whidbey 2013. Christmas part IV began the morning of the 26th when we drove down to Whidbey Island to celebrate with Bapa (my Dad), Uncle David, Aunt Traci and Uncle Rick, my Uncle Scott, my Aunt Gaye, and my Auntie Karen (who makes that green jello that we all love so much). NEW LOOK, SAME BLOG Mike, Julie and Brennan Weston. Friday, January 16, 2015. Went snow-shoeing this week! Two things struck me immediately: 1) there is no snow! Ok, not literally, but comparatively speaking, the snow-pack is a fraction of what it should be and the condition of the snow is terrible. 2) It is as beautiful as always.the mountains are still there and still awe-inspiring. It was pretty amazing.started snowing late Saturday afternoon, started sticking Saturday evening, and literally the snow didn't let up until late Sunday night. Snowed for over 24 hours straight!
