Has an article about a new Democrat ad on the air that questions Whalen's credibility on ethanol. The Inside Dope: February 2005
http://theinsidedope.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
February 28, 2005. Late last night in a darkened parking garage, an alert Dopester gave The Dope a scoop concerning Mike Whalen's announcement of his candidacy today. (OK, it wasn't in a garage, it was in a comment on the blog, but it WAS late.) He strongly urged The Dope to attend. Though he mentioned it was in Davenport, he wasn't able to provide a location for this event. And no time either. This might make it a little tough for people to attend. Whalen's candidacy will be worth keeping an eye on.

Keep up to date on the regional politics of Eastern Iowa -. Thursday, August 31, 2006. Whalen Now Wants to Raise the Minimum Wage Too. Well it looks like I was wrong in my post below regarding Whalen's stance on the minimum wage. See I remembered him saying previously in no confusing terms that he opposes an increase in the minimum wage. Now, however, he has changed his mind, apparently because he thinks it's going to happen despite his objections, so he might as well jump on the bandwagon. Democratic ca...
