A Year in Japan. Monday, May 22, 2006. Monet's Garden," Naoshima, Kagawa. Two weekends ago, seven of us went and stayed in beautiful Mongolian tents on an island called Naoshima. The whole island has been devoted to art so we spent two full days wandering through the gardens, the outdoor sculptures, and the very modern and unique museums. A Year in Japan. Monday, February 13, 2006. Models of the city before and after the A-bomb. The ferry ride back through the Inland Sea. I just had my final class and party with my beginner's English class. Although our conversations never really got beyond, how are you? What are your hobbies? How is the weather? I had another three-day weekend this weekend which I spent with three others camping in the Iya Valley which is a very beautiful part of Southern Shikoku and one of Japan’s three hidden regions.
