MikMadden.com: Easier than you think ICT solutions...
http://mikmadden.blogspot.com/2009/06/easier-than-you-think-ict-solutions.html
Friday, June 19, 2009. Easier than you think ICT solutions. Think of a tool - a hammer for instance: do you need to know the weight, colour, type of grip, exact dimensions or point of balance? Of course not; you just want to know that it can help you drive nails into timber. The 'how' and the results. So, back to your ICT issues: what are the results you want and how much work do you want to do to achieve them? I am happy to personally answer any queries and responses: solutions@mikmadden.com.

MikMadden.com: Expanding on reality...
http://mikmadden.blogspot.com/2010/04/expanding-on-reality.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. You probably don't remember me - it has been that long since I updated this blog. I was talking to a colleague this morning. "Yeah, I have a blog - but I haven't posted anything for a month or so." This is what we in the industry (and no doubt you guys at home) call 'expanding on the truth' or lying. Well" (Insert incredible TRUE story here of my latest venture). Now I am kicking myself - not only because I have potentially created a credibility issue for myself, I have also mi...

Sunday, May 10, 2009. Welcome to the news feed for www.mikmadden.com. What these organisations need is a solution. They don't need a team of people to tell them what they don't need, or to tell them which supplier won't produce a successful result. They want a reliable solution that is timely, affordable and can be handed over (migrated or managed) with little effort. It is that simple. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. About me and my business. I am an Information Technology and Communications / Business consultant and while I consider myself a good networker, I am just starting with the twitter / digg / myspace / linkedin / facebook / linkme / naymz / (etc.) method. Please remain patient while I try to catch up! I am generating a lot of interest and making headway in a slow (but improving) market and in an industry where there is inherent distrust. Which is new and boring). The hardest decisi...

MikMadden.com: August 2009
http://mikmadden.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 15, 2009. When 95% is bad. I was thinking about a business I had worked with previously and I think there is a lesson for the majority of us. I call these types of businesses the 95 percents. When you think of 95 percent as a grade, that sounds good. It is usually an A (or A ) or a High Distinction - depending on school or college. Awesome isn't it? So, what is the real cost of 95%? Friday, August 7, 2009. I had the opportunity yesterday to visit a small beachside community as part of a ...

MikMadden.com: The time warp
http://mikmadden.blogspot.com/2009/08/time-warp.html
Friday, August 7, 2009. I had the opportunity yesterday to visit a small beachside community as part of a project I am working on. While the scenery was beautiful, what I failed to realise was that the main road into the area contained a mysterious secret - I had entered a time warp into the past. As I drove around, I saw 70's houses, 60's cars (it was Kombi heaven) and 80's fashion - and no, not the intentional 'retro' style either. I could almost picture the "Betamax is better than VHS" discussions.
