Monday, August 31, 2009. Mommy and Gavin went to Illinois this past weekend for Balloon Fest, an annual hot air balloon festival in Lincoln, Illinois complete with, well, balloons and festival rides. Gavin got to hang out with family and lots and lots of friends, so there may be more pictures to follow, but here are the first ones. They said every time the train went around, he would wave. How cute! And of course, a hot air balloon. Mommy and Gavin and a colorful balloon at balloon fest!

The Gillard family headed to the "Mariemont Police Night Out" - our local police host a fun evening for community members with free food, band and fun times for the kids to play on their equipment too. The Hansbauer's joined us as well - and we had a great time. Last year when we were at the pumpkin patch. Friday, October 1, 2010. Thomas and Percy and now Bertie. Gavin has loved Thomas trains for quite some time now. and the train table that (aka - small tables pushed together from IKEA - yes, we get creative) is in our family room is literally played at every single day on multiple occassions. Our newest Thomas friend is Bertie who is battery powered - and pushes around all the other trains. Little Bertie has been a huge hit at our house! And we will be using lots of batteries with this one for sure!
