Hockey, Fishing, Family and Other Random Pastimes. January 13, 2008. Posted in sci fi. At 11:23 pm by Mike Milinkovich. I’ve been slacking off on the sci-fi updates. But the reading itself has been coming along pretty well. In fact, I’ve read through two authors since my last post on the topic. Just rocks. Singularity Sky. Was an interesting experience. I literally could not put the books ( Altered Carbon. Another mechanism for the powerful to exploit the proletariat. I find dialectical materialism as am...

Berlin Impressions | Life as Mike
https://hockeycoach.wordpress.com/2008/06/11/berlin-impressions
Hockey, Fishing, Family and Other Random Pastimes. June 11, 2008. At 4:08 am by Mike Milinkovich. And I are in Berlin this week for the OSGi Community Event. We haven’t had too much time for touring, but I did manage to take a couple of quick photos. I really like Berlin. It has a very nice, relaxed urban vibe. It’s a lot more colourful than Frankfurt. I would definitely like to come back and play tourist here some day. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Summer Sci-Fi Reading | Life as Mike
https://hockeycoach.wordpress.com/2007/07/10/summer-sci-fi-reading
Hockey, Fishing, Family and Other Random Pastimes. July 10, 2007. Posted in sci fi. At 11:28 am by Mike Milinkovich. I’ve been reading Sci-Fi since I was 11 years old. In grade 6, I checked out Robert A. Heinlein’s “Have Spacesuit Will Travel” from the Knoxdale Public School library and became totally hooked. I’ve read just about everything Heinlein ever wrote, and likely ended up with a slightly more libertarian outlook on life as a result. The first ones I picked were:. Old Man’s War. 5 Comments ».

Modeling Eclipse: April 2007
http://eclipse-modeling.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Topics related to modeling projects at Eclipse. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Modeling is doing well with the JDJ readers. Wayne's blog drew my attention to the JDJ Readers' Choice Awards. Of course Eclipse is doing extremely well as one would naturally expect from such a fine technology. Closer to home though, it was very exciting to see the modeling project doing so well in the Best Java Modeling Tool. Category. How cool is that? And then, with a few changes, all of a sudden the potential is much more clear.
