Winter Storm February 2014. February 13, 2014. 3-day winter event descended upon the northern half of Georgia from February 11 - 13, 2014. Waking up on day 3, I saw that it had snowed just a enough overnight. The frozen sleet was covered with a layer of snow that provided some traction, and also made everything pretty - for a short while anyway. The Georgia Wildfires of 2007. Okefenokee Swamp, GA [Charlton County]. The above photo was taken on April 5, 2007, during a camping trip to Stephen C. Foster State Park near Fargo, GA. I was hoping to see more of the swamp but due to severe drought conditions, boat tours were limited, and the Trembling Earth Boardwalk led through dry woods instead of over swamp water.
