So I managed to find time to finally make the advent calendar that I have been promising everyone. It has been a labour of love and many many hours! Each pocket has hand embroidery on it. It has hanging loops which I used to hang it from a piece of beach wood the kids and I found. I also fully backed it in the same fabric as the front. Info at bigoceanlittle.com. Big Ocean Little Fish. Sunday, February 26, 2012. New to old and back to new again! So this year I am continuing with upcycling my old clothes to make new clothes for little Evie. These are items of clothing that I have loved for years now but have had a hard time parting with as they have lots of life left in them and are cute. Having said that I haven't worn any of them for years so with a few tweaks here and there a new summer closet for Evie will appear. Also already making my 6th Christmas present!

Milkybeer Cooks
Apple and herb stuffing/dressing. Stale bread cut into cubes. Diced apple or two. Diced onion and celery. Toss in seeds (sesame, sunflower, etc.). Toss in herbs (thyme, oregano, garlic, etc.). Splash of olive oil. Big glug of apple juice. Saute the onion and celery. Toss all of the ingredients into a baking dish with a lid and stir to coat. Bake with lid on for about 30 minutes. Remove lid and continue baking for about 10 more minutes or so. Pear and feta flatbread. 4 T olive oil. 2 onions, thinly sliced.
