On the Road Again: March 2012
http://malellie.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
On the Road Again. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. We had our last Northwest Mennonite Conference Convention this last weekend. Mal gave our public resignation in his report, effective the end of August. They surprised us by calling us forward for a bit of a Farewell. As you can see from our expressions, it included some humour. Our Office Administrator and some children did a bit of an African dance for us. Then they had a powerpoint presentation of some of the things Mal does as Conference Minister. Then he...

On the Road Again: June 2011
http://malellie.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
On the Road Again. Sunday, June 26, 2011. Our Associate Pastor is marrying a girl from British background and her bridal shower was a dress-up British Tea Party complete with hats. Here she is pictured with her mother who brought her hat on the plane from England. Apparently they don't have bridal showers there. Here is a sample of our clothing. It was fun looking around to see what everyone had come up with for hats. Some were 50's hats. It was a fun evening. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. I was even more sh...

On the Road Again: Moving Dad
http://malellie.blogspot.com/2012/03/moving-dad.html
On the Road Again. Saturday, March 3, 2012. Dad's new home. Hofers and Dakus moved him in about a month ago. We three girls plus Joe just emptied and cleaned out his condo. Many trips of stuff went down the elevator! It was quite a job, but so fun to work together as sisters! In the evenings we sorted out stuff and took trips down Memory Lane. This is Mom's Autograph Book from 1939! We were up until midnight sorting almost every night. Here we are taking turns choosing Dad's paintings.

On the Road Again: Geese in our Marsh
http://malellie.blogspot.com/2012/04/geese-in-our-marsh.html
On the Road Again. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Geese in our Marsh. Geese are once again pairing up and getting ready to nest in our marsh. I was there taking pictures for awhile when one couple got annoyed with me and flew over me in a threatening manner. It gave me a good opportunity for close-ups! This picture didn't turn out well but I liked the pose so I covered up its sins by using special effects! April 18, 2012 6:00 PM. I have good memories of being dive-bombed by birds in that marsh:).

On the Road Again: September 2011
http://malellie.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
On the Road Again. Thursday, September 22, 2011. I got up at 6:30 this morning and noticed there was a pretty dramatic sunrise, so I put some sweat pants and a jacket over my pyjamas, grabbed my camera and rushed out to take some pictures. It was amazingly beautiful and warm, so I stayed out for about half an hour just taking pictures. Great start to the day! This butterfly is called Mourning Cloak. It was enjoying our apple tree when I snapped him. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

On the Road Again: Colored Stars
http://malellie.blogspot.com/2012/01/colored-stars.html
On the Road Again. Sunday, January 1, 2012. This is Jupiter close up; you can see its bluish tinge. After taking pictures I noticed that they showed different colors of stars and I wondered if that was just the photography, because I couldn't see colors when looking at the stars. This picture shows some of the different colors. You may need to double-click on it to see them better. In this picture I've increased the saturation to see the color better. Taking pictures of the night sky is a challenge I'm s...
