Site 1 – At the water’s edge in the concrete culvert, where Mill Creek goes underground. Site 2 – On the north side of Main Street to the east of the Wellington Street intersection, starting at the parkette. Site 3 – On the west side of Wellington Street South at Commonwealth Line. The History of Mill Creek. In 1816, the Honourable William Dickson acquired 90,000 acres of property along the Grand River, later to form the North and South Dumfries Townships.
