A church to view. In the Fall of 1953, a small group of people began meeting on Sunday afternoons at the home of Mrs. Lavonia Talley. With the support of the Donelson Church of Christ, J. Roy Vaughn and Jerry Shannon Gooch canvassed the community. J. Roy Vaughn, Herbert A. Robinson and J. M. Powell took turns preaching on Sunday afternoons while Gooch and Jim Burge led the singing.
